The Deep Blue Sky over Tremblant seems so very intense with
the cool, crisp air against the sharp contrast of the Pure White Snow.

Right Below The Summit, the TGV Quad rises up the final crest to
the top of Tremblant. The interesting thing here is that with the
primarily South-Westerly Wind Flow, those “Breezes” are at your
back and the TVG is actually fairly comfortable to ride up on.
If you have a dark outer layer on that can absorb solar energy,
almost amazingly, you can begin to feel the presence of “warm”!
Well, maybe not warm, just less Kool @ -30 C, First Tracks.

The Cold temps are not just Tremblant either, regionally, as in the
whole North-East Coast of North America, this has been and continues
to be a winter of winters for Classic Extreme Weather Factors.
From "January Thaw”, to “Deep Freeze”, we’ve seen it all,
along with 80 or 90 Million other people who live in this corner of Earth.

It is what it is, so Thank Goodness It’s A Ski Resort. We thrive on “Winter”!

The Flip Side of the “Kool” is all the Light, Dry, Cold Formed Powder Snow
we’ve gotten since the January Thaw, back 10 days or so ago. That Thaw seems
like an eternity ago now, mostly because it also seems like it hasn’t stopped
Snowing for about 10 days now too.

If you can Cope with the Kool, your reward will be some of the very
finest, fastest, high performance Groomed Ski/Board surfaces you
have ever been on. The Grip, Traction and any other Metric of Control
Input is Outstanding.

There are a select group of dedicated Tremblant Fans that Ski/Board
our favourite Mountain no matter what the weather does. Adapting to
a wide range of weather realities is often as much of a mental preparation
as it is a physical preparation and there is no doubt that there is satisfaction
from the ability to perform at high levels of personal fitness in all conditions.

Of course, some situations are easier than others, speaking of which...

It is supposed to warm up this week, the forecast says that by Saturday
temps should raise to -5 C, and Bonus… more Snow!

Anytime you can Vertically bury Ski Poles in a New Snow Drift
within a Metre and a half of an Open Green Run within 10 Days of a
January Thaw… you know conditions are fine.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
