T360 Apres Ski, Late Evening Edit, Started @ 10:30 P.M.
These Two Pic's Below, Represent A Seasonal Milestone.

This is some of the very best Expert Skiing at Tremblant.
This is some of the most Scenic Skiing, Anywhere.
1.30.18.Nord.North.Marie.Claude.Asselin.Bas.Lower.b.jpg
We explain more of the importance of Banzai and Marie-Claude
Asselin re-opening in the Original Post, below. Beyond what we
review there, what we can tell you about the Ski Experience
on the actual Trails, is that they are All very densely packed,
Groomed, Natural Snow with mixed particle size running primarily
from Sand-Like, right on up to “Marbles”(as in the Glass Beads Kids
play with). They Ski very well, and you can maintain enough edge
to carve or control speed with an alternating right/left “Hockey Stops”,
as in the Old School Parallel Turning mode. We did not find so much as
a single glitch on the Lower portions we skied. We did not Ski the
Upper portions as we needed to sample Lowell Thomas Haut, Upper
on the same run. It’s very fine too!
In the Mean-time @.Sud.South...
More of the Most Scenic Skiing in the Hemisphere,
but on a panoramic scale.
Pre-Cambrian Remains Of The Day...
Clinically, You’re Standing On, Viewing, and Using, Terrain that has been
Rendered by Roughly 4 Billion Years of Geologic History.
Over on Versant Sud, the South Side, people were ripping
up the Sun-Soaked Slopes, and when we say “Ripping”,
here’s a good idea about how that was going...
1.30.18.Sud.South.McCulloch.Haut.Upper.Pitch.Shred.Factor.High.Performance.c.jpg
To balance things out for Entry Level Skill Sets... There was still
Corduroy on P’tit Bonheur at 3:15 P.M.
If we stayed up all night long, we could not catalogue all
the Sweet Spots within Today’s Opened, Groomed, Trail
Selection. You simply need to be here to experience it
for yourself. We’re definitely getting back to Winter Normal!

There’s a Smiling, Helpful, Face Around Every Corner At Tremblant!
Tremblant’s Info. Ski Crews are the very best source of
Up-To-The-Minute Mountain Guidance and Information Support.
Fully Bilingual, and Radio Controlled, we consult with them daily and
you should too!
If it seems as though we promote the Info.Ski Crews a lot, it’s because
we benefit so greatly ourselves from the insights we get from daily
consultations. The Tremblant Fans who staff the Info.Ski are simply
the very best resource for local Trail Status. After spending decades Skiing
all over North America, where, for the most part, you end up exploring
Strange New Places on your own, we know how very much local knowledge
can mean to the Guest Experience. Don’t be a Stranger... You’ve got Friends
around every corner at Tremblant!
This Is Especially Important When There’s...
Big Open Groomed Trail News!
Extreme Skiers Take Note:
Zig-Zag OPEN. Groomed!
Here is a File Shot of Zig Zag(#14), coincidentally featuring a Tremblant
Info.Ski Crew member on descent. If you’re a Fan of “Steep”, then
this should do it for you!
But Wait... There’s More! This Important News for all Tremblant fans
as it signifies the return of Open Terrain that’s been off the list for quite
a while due to whacky Up-n-Down Weather. So, having this one back on
line probably won’t affect the “Average” Skier, but it is never-the-less
an indication that ALL Terrain is gradually returning to service.
But Wait, There’s Even MORE!!!
PLEASE ALSO NOTE: Two of our Principal “Canaries In The Coal Mine”,
INDICATORS OF EXCELLENT SECTOR STATUS... Versant Nord, North Side
Trails, #’s 64 and 65 Marie-Claude Asselin and Banzai have been shown
as Open, and Groomed(For The First Time This Season!!!), starting Yesterday!
(We hope to have an Apres Ski feature on these two, but regardless,
they are a critically important Re-Opening.)
Why Is This Important?
1) Signifies Overall Increase In Re-Opened Terrain.
2) Signifies Priorities Met In Strategic Re-Openings.
Regarding #2, above: Our Theory is that Mountain Crews are very
sensitive to the needs of the Beginner and Intermediate Skiers and
Boarders due to their large population and sensitivity to conditions,
so what we see is the priority that all the Green and Blue Groomed Terrain
rightly gets. After all, “Experts” can take care of themselves in virtually any
conditions. So, when Mountain Crews have time and machine resources to
re-open/groom some of the more exotic terrain that is only Expert rated,
we think that’s at least partly because they are now satisfied that
the Fundamental, broadly used by all Skill Levels Terrain, is reaching
optimized levels and they can move on. If that was the case, we’d agree
on every account.
Surprise du Jour Excellent Groomed Trail Award:(1.29.18)
Versant Soleil, Tiguidou(#43)
But Wait, There’s More Here Too!
Surprise du Jour Excellent Groomed Descent Path:(1.29.18)
Versant Soleil, Tiguidou(#43) to Laurentienne(Bas, Lower)(#47).
This is not the first time these two Trails have had the
distinction of being Surprise du Jour selections.
Not only do they have beautiful rolling topography,
but the Surface Preparation on both of them yesterday
was outstanding. Turn after turn of Ripping Good, Fast Fun!!!
Bottom Line on Conditions Today:
There is Abundant Excellence within the Open Groomed Terrain
and all you need to do is show up with Tuned Gear and a Positive
Frame of Exploration Mind-Set and you will have a Wonderful Day!
Weather Notes:
An easier start to the day as Mother Nature is more in tune with
the Forecast at -15C and warming up to about -8C or so, after noon.
Once again today, the indicated windspeed values are low and from
the North, the “Low” part being our favourite component.
