T360 Mid-Evening Apres Ski Edit At 9:27 P.M.
The Skiing Was Excellent,
The Weather Was Literally AWESOME.
There was so much snow moving across the Summit that
Ski Tracks were being filled over in less than 30 seconds.

We could go on about the Great Skiing, and every word would
be true... POWDER LINES ON ALGONQUIN!... But... The Uniqueness
of the Sky Drama Was Undeniably SPECTACULAR!!!
The Sky Looked Like It Was Boiling
On A Nuclear Element.
(if you consider the physical properties of the “Sun”,
you could say that’s actually true...)
No Camera Known To Human Achievement Could Adequately Capture
The Amazing Weather Dynamic that was Different Every Second.
No Screen Known To Human Achievement Could Adequately Render
The Amazing Weather Dynamic That Was Different Every Second.
Mother Nature Does Not Optimize Her Displays For Mobile Devices.
There Is No Way To Possibly Convey The Scope Of
Todays Weather Reality. Beyond these crude photo’s,
Only Being Here Would Suffice. Tremblant is Beautiful
in Any Weather, but today was “WOW”!
Oh, and lets re-enforce the “Skiing Was Excellent” part...
Oh, and Powder Lines On Algonquin???
YES!, It’s True! The Sides of Algonquin Had Back-Filled,
Snow Drifting, in places, above 35cm’s.
(Sorry for the Overcast, Vigorous Snowfall Filters,
and Flat Low Contrast Light we had to “Cook” to get
any Snow Surface definition out of.)
Tomorrow? Really, Really, Very, Very Fine Skiing and Boarding,
-15C and partially Sunny to start, temp’s rising to -10, but
Snow Cloud Moving Back In Before Noon. Moderate Easterly
winds crossing the Summit from the Ski Patrol H/Q towards
the Grand Manitou Summit Lodge.

Fast, Fun, Winter Snow Performance At Tremblant...
It’s As Simple As “Black And White”.
If You Can’t Be Here Right Now, You’ll Just Have To Imagine
These Snow White Performance Trail Surfaces Are Exactly As
Good As They Look.
And The Views Are Beautiful Too!
Look closely at the Foreground Snow in both pictures immediately above
and you’ll see about 95% of all the Groomed Terrain at Tremblant right now.
To begin with, everything is Smooth. As a Base Level characteristic,
that’s a great place to start with, and, it has the added quality of the
most recent top layer of Natural Snowfall being a very fine granular
and dry crystal that has great low resistance, speed and glide.
The softness in the 2 day old freshly fallen top layers that had
resulted in traffic generated moguls, is giving way to more densely
packed running surfaces with each passing Night-Shift of Grooming
and it shows up as longer lasting flatness throughout the day.
That allows an increase in the versatility that Beginners and
Intermediates can use to begin safely exploring Terrain that’s
got more challenge in steepness, without the same concerns of
big bumps that were much more prevalent two days ago.
For Those Who Prefer The Bumps...
There are Several Varieties To Choose From.
One form of Mogul Skiing is available on our “Case Study” Trail
on Versant Nord, the North Side, # 66, “Le Tunnel”. This trail
was groomed once, about 10 days ago, and has been left to evolve
from that point. The net result is that all the new snow in that time
span to today, has generated a Sweet Mogul Run with a Solid Substrate
Base that has close to Zero Glitches for the moguls to form over.
This is only one example that we encourage legitimate Experts
to try. Other forms of Moguls, particularly the Never Groomed,
au natural, Hors Piste zones like “Windigo” or the Glade runs
on the Edge Sector, continue to get good feedback from our friends
that Ski there all day.

Steady Refinements in Overall Groomed Surfaces
with a Thermal-Free Forecast are very favourable
reasons to plan for Tremblant as soon or as often
as you can.
Page under Progressive Assembly, but basically,
there’s a Ton Of Fresh Snow and It Skis Fast,
with Excellent Grip. Go if you can.
