T360 Middle Of The Night-Shift Apres Ski @ 2:58 A.M.
This is not the first time this Versant Soleil Trail
has Jumped Out of the mix as our Un-Official Trail du Jour...
2.24.18.Versant.Soleil.Tiguidou.Trail.du.Jour.b.jpg
Considering the fact that Versant Soleil was off-line earlier this week,
PLUS, Versant Soleil had the benefit of literally Around-The-Clock,
Grooming, at one point 36 hours of continuous Man/Machine time...
It’s not surprising that Trails within the Soleil domain should have
potential to be Best-Of-Mountain candidates for recognition of exceptional
daily quality.
Generally speaking, the range of refined Groomed terrain quality is
expanding for every morning. Mother Natures stubborn reluctance
to release an Icy grip on surfaces has been met by Tremblant Mountain
Op’s with a dedicated, steady effort to dig into the solid mantle over
and over in order to render out soft, skiable top layers that are deep
enough to have All-Day durability.
That is not to say there are no glitches or that all the icy bits have
been eliminated, but they are getting smaller, more contained, and
of far less consequence to a day’s Skiing experience.
Take a moment to review the 14 day Long Range Weather Forecast
included below in todays original post. It’s as close to the Zero C
mark as it could practically be without getting too warm, while still
keeping “Winter” in what’s actually left of Winter with the stabilizing
force of consistent, solidly Sub-Zero overnights for the ongoing
stability of the Trail Network Base. Plan to get out for “Easy” if you can!

73(*) Open Trails on all 4 Open Sectors at #Tremblant .
With Sud, South, Resort Base Level Temp’s
Floating Over/Under/At/Around Zero C,
There may be “Wild Cards” in some Trail
Surfaces Today, but Two Things For Sure...
1) Initial Groomed Surfaces Will Be Smooth.
2) You Will Not Be “Freezing”!
Above:
Temps made it up to -6C at the Resort Base yesterday, and up top
the scene at the Summit was sometimes Cloud Foggy and sometimes Snowy.
This entire week past has been overshadowed by a series of
Whacky Up/Down days and somewhat Icy tendencies, However...
Every Single Day Has Had Good Technical Skiing within the
Open, Groomed Terrain. Every Single Day... there has been
somewhere that you could do this:

Please excuse the Snow Filtered, Long Telephoto, but we’re
overjoyed to have “Snow Filtered” photography problems
and there is no way anyone could deny the level of Carved,
Edge-Set Performance being demonstrated in this image.
Just as important to note that this is Only One Sample Of
Many zones where good Carving Depths were sustained
all day.

Weather Notes:
-------------- 11:00 A.M. T360 Fan Update ------------------
Skiing described as...
Fast Granular, but there can be icy patches under Groomed.
If you know where you are going with a bit of careful exploration,
you can legitimately Carve Entire Runs, no problem.

The important thing to keep in mind now is that
Quality is relative to Mother Natures Permissions
for the Whole North-Eastern Coastal Region of
this Continent. On that account, Tremblant is
Both Favourably “North”, and Very Well Optimized.
Relativity Clause:
Every Ski Resort On Planet Earth Has “Whacky-Weeks” that
typically occur in most, if not every season. “January Thaws”,
"February Thaws”, "March In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb”(or Visa-Versa),
are all terms that experienced “Winter” People understand.
The immense range of combined forces Mother Nature can
apply in hours, or even minutes, is infinitely variable. We think
the Tremblant Difference is in the "Quickness Of Quality”, i.e.,
how fast Crews can regenerate Good Ski Conditions here,
which starts literally with “Overnight”. The “Quickness” part
also applies to the amount of regenerated square area. Check out
the Groomed List above, one more time...
