96/96(*) Open Trails on the Overnight Refined and Forecast Sunny(?), Slopes at #Tremblant .
Please Note: Mountain Open Hours To 16:30(4:30 P.M.)
You May Think it’s Odd, But...
There Seems To Be A Slight Contradiction Between
The Weather Forecast And Reality???
(Either that, or it’s going to clear up really quickly!!!)
Web-Cam 7:46 A.M. Eye Opener Snap Shot...
Those are definitely “Sun” Icons down there in the Hourly
Weather Forecast, But... That’s Definitely “Overcast”, and even
lightly Snowing Out there at 7:50 A.M.
Regardless Of Weather... or... Especially Due To Weather...
i.e., consistent, Sub-Zero, Snowy “Winter”,
The Skiing And Boarding Should Be All Of Excellent.
We are actually very happy to see Overcast when
the Versant Sud, South Side, Resort Base Level is
forecasted to be a couple of degrees above the freezing
mark. If it was to stay Overcast, we might even see
just about all of “Winter” retained over the entire
Vertical Rise of Tremblant. Depending on any thermal
content in the Wind, there could be softening towards
the Sud, South Base Levels, maybe a touch on Nord,
North, too, but we see no cause for alarm, and usually
with rising temp’s there is a tangible increase in the
ease and forgiveness in Trail snow surfaces.
Groomed surfaces should show a higher level of ambient
compaction with the Night-Shift, and that means more all
day mogul resistance and hopefully some good Speed.
The Weekend Mountain Traffic seemed fairly light, so we
think the Sous Bois, Un-groomed, Glades, and Hors Piste
should have good cushion and few hazards, although we
all know, naturally occurring Hazards can jump out at you
even on the best of days, so careful explorations are the
responsible way to go on initial descents.

The important thing right now is
we’re hanging on to Winter, even if it’s
only by a couple of degrees!

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.
(
