3/17/18 #Tremblant Conditions

Post by T360 »

.

96/96(*) Open Trails on the Chilly Refreshed, Cool Refined, White Winter Slopes of #Tremblant .

The Basic Conditions Story Is 2 Parts...

Part 1)...

It’s Snowed Over 3 Feet At Tremblant In The Last Month.

...and virtually every precious snowflake is still right where it fell.

Other than that, for this morning...
It’s a -21C White Winter Flashback!

Temps will rise quickly after First Tracks and with a light to moderate
forecast N-W wind component under a sunny sky, that will feel even quicker,
if the solar energy materializes. That Solar Energy will definitely contribute
to personal comfort today.

In the meantime, first thing, it’s still overcast, but with shades of Blue
peeking through, so everyone is looking forward to seeing scenes like this
forecast sample.

Part 2)...

Refinement.

Conditions wise, there have been 2 complete Overnight Grooming
cycles since the mini-blizzard 2 days ago, plus an obvious and very
quick drop in temp’s and we think that combination should render out
some impressive refinement over the entire array of Groomed Terrain.

Much of the humidity associated with the closeness to Zero C that the
new snow fell at, should have been “Cooked” out of the top layers by
Mother Natures Midnight, Super-Kool Cryogenic Shock treatment.

That usually yields a noticeably drier, more crystalline snow, and when
you compact and groom over top of all that, the typical result is some
of the most superb High Performance Carving Corduroy known to the
Human Ski Experience.

The Benefits Of The Combined Work Of Mother Nature
And Tremblant’s Mountain Op’s Crews Extends To All Skill Levels.

One of the wonderful things about what makes tremendous
High Performance, is that the same characteristics of low friction
and high mechanical grip make Green, Beginner, and Blue, Intermediate
Terrain exceptionally easy to learn on.

Steering, Braking, Stopping all get and stay “Easy” when Snow
is Dry and Well Packed.

If you consider that “Winter” is Mother Natures
basic Permission for Skiing and Snowboarding,
Tremblant gets, and keeps, more consistent
and Thermal-free pure winter conditions
throughout the entire season. The net result...
Snow Surface Performance of the highest
optimized potential from start to finish of
your visit or your season.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
