There are examples of Trail Excellence at Tremblant right now
that could be argued to be not only “Best Of Season”, but maybe
even “Best Ever”. Versant Soleil “Algonquin” could just maybe be
the best it’s ever been from a standpoint of its clinical merits of
smoothness and glitch-free surface quality.
That’s a big statement to make, however when you take into account
the roughly 3 feet of new snow in the last month, the stable sub-zero
temps at Mountain elevations, the continuous refinements of sequential
overnight Grooming cycles, it’s not hard to understand how it is entirely
possible to be at this place of wide, universal, and very high quality across
almost the entire Alpine Snow Sports Trail Network.
On top of any and all of this, is the very light daily traffic of the
post-spring-break holiday period. It’s nothing more or less than
a pure mechanical advantage. If you start with Excellent surfaces
and they are subjected to very little traffic, the result is very little wear.
"Right Now” is nothing less than an extraordinary opportunity to
participate in one of the most highly optimized time periods within
any ski season.
If you have the discretionary capability to attend at Tremblant now
and you choose not too... you would be subject to a clinical diagnosis of “Nuts”.
The beautiful conditions that can be found all over the Mountain
are only experiencing Solar induced thermal softening at the lower
South levels, and up to yesterday, even that is only happening to
any significant degree towards the end of the day, close to last run.
We can thank the recent 5 day temp drop for an added margin of stability
up to at least this point, but obviously, as March progresses and turns
into April, the influence of “Spring” is going to become more evident.

Weather Notes:
Conditions Notes:
We think there is enough ambient frost in the substrates to support
the current status of trail quality for at least a couple of weeks before
there could be any major decrease in Open Terrain. We may see more
in the way of Icy Bits with higher daytime temps breaking just into the
“+” values. On the Flip-Side, the forecasted overnight lows are still
a very powerful stabilizer for 24hour net effects being minimal.
Bottom line is that we’re projecting the near-term weeks as some of
the sweetest Spring conditions relative to previous seasons.

Closing in on 500cm’s of natural snow for the season
automatically means its been great so-far. When you
add in the great looking early spring forecast we have now,
there’s every good reason to make all the effort you can to
get out for some exceptional, classic, end of March
Tremblant Skiing/Boarding.
