Today is going to be one of those days that sneaks under the radar
with a quiet solitude and some very fine conditions for those who
are lucky enough to be at Tremblant.

The mid-week attendance is relatively low, the Open Terrain is large,
it’s snowing, the temperature is a mild -4C, there was 11cm’s snowfall
within the last 48 hours that have had 2 night-shifts worth of grooming,
the winds are light, at least to start with... What’s not to like?

We wrote back on Monday about “Value Weeks” and for the kinds of
bargains you can find for costs for both Skiing and Accommodations
in “Low Season” right now, combined with the technical merit of the
Skiing experience itself, today exemplifies every positive attribute you
could associate with “Value”.

Weather Notes:

Super easy for next little while, but we’ve already had a
freaked out reaction from a weekend warrior over the
warm burp Mother Nature may have coming up...

Our answer is “Don’t”. Don’t freak out yet, that is,
because this forecast could change back just as quickly
as it has appeared. Additionally, as you’ve already
correctly thought, at cooler Mountain elevations,
any indicated Precip. could be snow over the Mountain.

We could be wrong, so if you are planning for the weekend,
you’ll need to be ready for anything. Poncho for Saturday,
really, really sharp edges for Sunday?

Conditions Notes:

An additional 3cm’s will not seem like much to some, however
even modest amounts of new snow can benefit conditions
across all skill level terrain. Basically it can act a cushion
that not only enhances smoothness, but adds fresh traction,
especially where the wind may have generated drifted depths
that can exceed the statistical total.

Yesterday we called the groomed product of 11cm’s near-ideal,
today that potential gets amplified to variable degrees over
the zones Mother Nature favoured with the flow of the wind.

We would expect those effects to remain more noticeable
and more durable because of the very light traffic of the
mid-week, post Holiday time period.

Upwardly escalating conditions as a result of overnight
Grooming over a stable base, together with a dusting of new snow.

Nice!

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
