A Complex Weather Scenario, However, Brilliantly Sunny
To Start, And Within Adaptive Human Capabilities,
Great Technical Skiing Throughout.
It Is Sunny...
It Is Not Crowded...
Above is a forecast of the typical “Crowd Scene” you will have
to deal with today.
The Ski experience has every good chance of being excellent all
day. The challenge is going to be effectively dressing to face the
breezy cool temp’s. The first part of that is a joy, and the second
part is easy to do here at Tremblant because there is no more
experienced support virtually anywhere in the world for the
availability of gear that can get you comfortably through this
kind of weather. Period.
The shops at Tremblant know what works. Please note that is
not necessarily expensive to keep warmth in this weather.
Sometimes as little as one critical thermal insulation layer
can instantly elevate the efficiency of your existing kit.
If you want to stay warm, just talk to the very knowledgeable
staff at any of the Tremblant shops. Repeat: They know what works.
Weather Notes:
Yesterday, we optimistically hoped that todays forecast might show
an actual cooling trend for the weekend, but we were wrong. It now
appears as though we are going to experience a totally normal
“January Thaw” event and the best we can say at this stage is that
it’s forecast to be short. More detail on the specific’s for weekend
planners to be posted below as additional Summit Level data.
Looks like you’re going to need to haul out the Descente Poncho’s...
For today, no doubt a wind and cool temperature combination challenge,
however we must point out that considered as a separate and
distinct subject, the technical Ski experience should be excellent.
Despite cold and breezy, more grooming over a recent 14cm’s
of fresh snowfall consistently generates incrementally refined
snow surfaces.
Dress for it and carry on...
