Nansen Bas/Lower OPENING!
Finally, Summit-To-Base Ski-Out, Versant Sud/South Side To Resort Base.
We predicted the potential of a full Nansen opening and
here it is!
One Of The Very Best Trail And Logistical Assets Of The Entire Season!
Here’s an archival file shot that we’re calling as
both a weather and performance forecast For Nansen Bas/Lower.

Weather Notes:
A cool one, for sure, but we still need more cold into the mass
of the Mountain as the seasonal bank of stored refrigerant, so
we’ll just bundle up and cheerfully embrace the great surface
conditions that also come with cool.

In The Groomed:
One Of The Ultimate Good News Days Of The Season!
This applies to everyone, but especially to Beginners.
Not only does Nansen Bas/Lower connect the dots,
Summit-To-Base, but Nansen gives Beginners as well
as every other skill level up to and including Experts,
one of the very finest technique development descents
on Planet Earth.
At just over 6 Kilometres, with the combined length of Nansen
Haut/Upper, PLUS Nansen Bas/Lower, you have the ability
to apply and develop nuanced technique elements over
such a long, uninterrupted distance, that your learning
curve can be exponentially faster because you don’t have
to stop and get on a lift every 2 minutes. This facilitates
and amplifies a far quicker establishment of the Mind/Muscle
connection that is essential in the elemental learning and
practice phases of all physical sports learning.
The opening of Nansen Bas/Lower also immediately alleviates
traffic stress on all other descent paths to the Sud/South Resort
base because it takes traffic away from the complex and
challenging trail junction convergence at the TGV Quad Base.
Of course in this case we have the simultaneous conduct of
the 24 Hour Children’s Charity fundraiser, so while the TGV
Base zone is weekend/temporarily closed, Nansen Bas/Lower
obviously satisfies a huge need for Sud/South base access.
In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades And Un-Groomed:
Looks like we’re gunna be waiting a while for this group
to come back. We thought there might be a chance of
a reopen here after the snowfall yesterday and last night,
(especially considering the Official 24 hr. snowfall at 15cm’s),
however that has not materialized yet. Maybe later today?

Bonjour Tremblant! The mountain is dazzling this
morning with 15 cm of fresh snow received in the
last 24 hours. Add an extra day to your weekend,
dress warmly, and come enjoy the best skiing in
the Laurentians!
Please take note that the alpine touring trails are closed.
With the return of cold temperatures, snowmaking
will resume in several areas of the mountain. We plan
to open several new slopes by Sunday, including the
ones dedicated to next weekend’s event: the 24h
Tremblant, from December 13 to 15.
