---------- T360 Late Night Apres Ski Edit: ------------------
We just had to add these spectacularly scenic pics taken
mid-morning. Once again Tremblant proves its overwhelming
capacity to amaze.

Pure Tremblant Magic.
This one below is from just after noon. The snowmaking evident
here is the ongoing trail development that has been continuous
on virtually every sub-zero C day since opening.

Considering last nights Apres Ski Reporting...
We Expect That Today May Be Another Day Of Contrasts.

Lots Of Great Snow Conditions And In A Wide Variety Of Skills.
But... After Yesterdays Wild Weather, All Initial Explorations Want
Cautious Approach, So Warm Up Thoroughly, Work Up In Challenge.
The Mountain Gets A Tune Up.
Here is a sample of snowmaking from yesterday that is going to
directly enhance quality as it re-opens today. It’s also a glimpse
of the visible blue sky that could be seen a lot more clearly from
some some Nord/North ground levels. (There’s a pic. of that in
last night’s Apres Ski.)

A substantial portion of the atmospheric/vision challenge is
the consequence of snowmaking that is quite capable of
generating a very densely cloudy micro-climate around the
Summit and all near-by any individual concentrations of
operational snowmaking.
This shot below is on Nord/North P’tit Bonheur at roughly
3:20 P.M. and in addition to the already low sun of deep
winter, the entire upper level of the Mountain has it’s own
micro-climate going on from suspended snowmaking cloud
in adjacent areas.

Extreme Skiing Fans !!!!
Here’s One For YOU!
1.9.25.Nord.North.Duncan.Quad.Views.Dynamite.Snowmaking.First.In.7.Years.c.jpg
We had a chance to ride up the Expo Quad with a member
of the snowmaking team who had just come off of Dynamite
adjusting the snowmaking over the mid-point cliff and we
noted the comment that this is the first time in 7 years for
this trail, the steepest trail at Tremblant, to get snowmaking.
This will elevate the hazard free quality, as well as the durability
of this trail, immeasurably.
Weather Notes:
Warmer And A Lot Less Wind Equals Way Easier!
Conditions Notes:
In The Groomed:
Better than yesterday with both more open trails
as well as improved consistency from the overnight
grooming cycle that should mitigate a lot of the
unevenness cause by the whacky windy weather
over the past 3 days.
We expect additional incremental improvements
in the following days, but for now, careful attention
to warming up on lesser challenge is important
until you can confirm absolute speed and directional
control at all times as you work up to more demanding
terrain. While there are going to be significant steps
above yesterday, caution is still appropriate in all
initial explorations.
In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:
Even the bush took a hit with the wind yesterday.
Not as much as the open trails, but you need to
be careful exploring contours because the wind
stripped snow off the top of some drift lines and
hazards may be lurking below. Additionally, some
hazards can not be seen from above, so all the way
around you need to have speed slow enough that
you can react instantaneously.
There are select zones of very fine conditions and
a review of the Nord/North Expo Sector trail Windigo,
pic. above is a great sample of real and right now.
Archival Copy Of Official Daily Message:
Bonjour Tremblant! Our grooming team worked hard
to offer you 84 trails on 608 acres of open terrain!
Due to the presence of wind and reduced visibility, trail
count and lift operations may change during the course
of the day. We invite you to visit this webpage regularly
to stay up to date with the last changes.
