Weather Notes:
Conditions Notes:
All the recent Snowfall has allowed the Base to remain at
exceptionally high quality standards for the 7th of April.
As we have written over the past number of days, conditions
in most areas of the Mountain are similar to any great February
day and that is not something you can often say. It is the duty
of every sincere, serious Tremblant Fan for whom it is practical,
to get onto the Mountain and experience these record conditions
as often as possible.
The mechanical advantages of Abundant New Snow, Longer, Stronger
Daylight for enhanced visibility and contrast, Milder Late season temps,
outstanding late season Coverage, and relatively light traffic, all add up
to a seasons Finale that should not be missed.
Further to all that...
In our opinion, considering the previous status, current rates
of Snowfall and Accumulations...
It’s a HUGE Positive “Tell-Tale”, i.e., a significant indicator of
overall Sector/Mountain Health...
Versant Soleil, Trail #95, ALGONQUIN Shown “Groomed” !!!
The last time we skied it(April 2nd)...
Algonquin was becoming a bit “Tender”, meaning subject to
traffic wear and Spring thaw thinning. The result was some natural
rocky/debris hazards and perhaps too little coverage for effective
grooming, so while it was still very much skiable, you had to be very
cautious about speed and navigation if you wanted to avoid ski/board
base damage.
With Algonquin now showing “Groomed”, we would be very confident
this is not only a major asset for this specific trail, but also an excellent
indicator of sector new snow accumulations.
