0(*)Open Trails. NOTICE OF CLOSED OPERATIONS
DUE TO COVID-19 HUMAN HEALTH ISSUES:
Force Majeure Caveat.

Please Note:
Local, Regional, National, Global COVID-19 Closure Protocols.

Data Sampling/Facsimile Stat's

See all attached below.

Reporting Caveat:
Our intention is to add primarily to the weather stat’s so future
trip planning researchers looking at time slots normally available
will have archival data sampling to assist with composite impressions
for weeks that would usually be prime March/Spring skiing Holiday
or visit candidates.

The Mountain Is Closed For The Season.

Weather Notes:

This past few days of cool temps would typically indicate
a stabilizing influence in base conditions that would ensure
extended rates of surface coverage.

Conditions Notes:

Notwithstanding that History will judge whether or not the current
Global COVID-19 Human Health strategy of essentially closing all
discretionary social assembly on Planet Earth is effective enough
compared to the mathematical mortality potential of no action,
all Global Skiing and Snowboarding Commercially Lift Serviced
activity, is now terminated.

As Officially decreed by all legitimate Government Authority, it would
technically be “Until Further Notice”, however as currently decreed by
the known Alpine Snow Sports Industry, it is for the balance of the
season in the Northern Hemisphere, and probably/practically, until
further notice for the Southern Hemisphere which could include, but
are not limited to, the major examples of Chile, New Zealand and
Australia, where there are significant Commercial Alpine Snow Sports,
Lift Serviced operations.

If you are researching this archive for future
time periods, i.e., weeks or months you may be
considering for Ski Holiday Trip/Visit Planning:

Data Sampling:

The Mountain is Officially Closed, however, this is an archive, so
what we/you could do is look at this date, every year for the past
10 years and calculate the average number of "Open Trails”.

For Example:
If you scroll back through the index for this section and add up
the Open Trails for the last 10 years on this March 23 date, you
get 741. So, divide that by 10, i.e., move the decimal over by 1,
and you end up with a historical decade/average of 74 Open Trails
for March 23.

BUT... is that totally fair to what we might have projected to actually
be “Open” at Tremblant today?

Maybe.

If there is a problem with that averaging, we’d say it is with the possibilities
that there were unique closures due to weather on any previous March 23,
which technically being “Spring”, can mean warm, rainy, wet, Sunny, hot,
and or any combination of those factors over sequential leading days.

Weather anomalies that cause unusually large, individually unique, reductions
for any given single year could skew the numbers below what we think would
actually be typical, but overall, that’s sort-of the advantage of “Averaging”.?

In this case, we’d actually agree with the 74 potential Open Trails because
of all the recent up/down weather.

That’s where the benefit is by doing time-framed research homework
with Tremblant360, because you can read about the actual weather
and conditions history in order to form your own composite viewpoint
and either include or eliminate statistically odd or rare occurrences
that are not likely to happen within “Average” when you are sitting in
NYC, or London U.K., planning a March Ski Holiday in September or October.

Certainly, we have never seen or heard of mass, industry, or Global
shut-downs of this kind, ever, so we would not expect to have any
repeat of this kind again. Never say never, but the statistical probability
is thankfully, quite small.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
