While the rest of North America is in a giant, and legitimate Weather
Emergency Panic(#), it’s actually a fairly mild range for experienced
regional Tremblant Fans. By the time most sensible folks get out
at around 9:00 AM., it should be around -14 C, then by just after
lunch hour, up -5 C, and all of this under a Sunny sky with low
wind speed values??? What’s not to like? This is indeed an excellent
set of stat’s for any “Winter” day to produce excellent Ski/Board conditions. Period.

Meanwhile, back at the “Ranch"...

(#) Below: There’s been more Snow in Dallas Texas this week than in Canada’s
National Capital of Ottawa. The extreme Southerly depression of the
Jet Stream combined with an influx of the Polar Vortex has generated
once in 100 Year Winter records. The primary consequence has been the
loss of Electrical Power generation for millions of Americans due to
infrastructure freeze-ups. There have been dozens of fatalities because
of heat loss and accidents spanning a sequential multi-day winter weather
anomaly where for example, uninsulated/unheated homes and vehicles
without snow tires have caused deaths in a region that is normally hot
year round. Suddenly, they have been heavily snowed on, and frozen for days.
(If you have not been following along, please use the “Previous Topic” button at
the top/bottom of this page to review the past 5 days for more on this historic
Continental Weather perspective.)

Conditions Notes:

In the Groomed categories: Excellent, as the direct product of many sequential days
of accumulating, exceptionally dry, cold-formed natural snowfall, meticulously
integrated and refined daily by Tremblant Mountain Op’s night-shift Grooming Team.

In the Sous Bois, Glades, Hors Piste, Un-Groomed categories: Very fine to excellent
on an a la Carte’ basis depending on Wind-Drifted snowfall accumulations and
light Pandemic traffic. Clinically, there is less than average snowpack, but there is
also way less than average traffic.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
