102/102(*) Open Trails On All 4 Sectors At #Tremblant .
Welcome Back To Winter!
Wow, a -18C drop in temps from yesterdays +5C high, plus
over 20cm’s of fresh overnight snowfall has certainly got to
qualify as a very wintery refresh after one very spring-like
warm n’ wet episode!

Please Note: Slightly cooler than average elevation differential
to Summit that is currently -6 C lower than base. Normal spread
is usually -4 C.

Conditions Notes:
Overall, we think that conditions should be very fine
where the grooming is overnight fresh.
There will be substantial square area of well prepared
Green/Beginner terrain, centred around Nansen and
P’tit Bonheur/Beauchemin Bas/Lower, however, at
over 20cm’s of fresh snowfall in one shot after a +5C
rainy windy day there may be some complex surface
variabilities depending on wind-facing or leeward
orientations. Where leeward, with drift-in, there may
be lingering softness in groomed surfaces that could
be prone to traffic generated moguls, and where directly
wind facing, there could be exposed very firm base with
some icy bits around crests or on steeper pitches.
All initial explorations should be undertaken with
care and cautious speed until safe passage is confirmed.
In the Sous Bois/Hors Piste and Un-Groomed we expect
overall very fine conditions within all these ranges, plus,
with the drift-in potential created by swirling vortices
that will have backfilled into many lee-side contours,
there could be multiple outstanding powder deposits
that far exceed the stat totals. Your Expert mission is to
safely explore for those deep pockets/zones of snowy
accumulations with responsible care.
Complex potentials after significant weather events
mean that initial safety is optimized by matching
actual skills with rated terrain challenge.
Up-scaling difficulty should be only be done when
absolute speed and directional control can be
maintained at all times.
Be aware of, and alert to, hand-posted signage placed
by the Ski Patrol and take all such signage with serious
respect.
