More KKkkool Mornings, But Way More Cool Skiing!!!
Plus... one look at the 14 day long range forecast will
tell you “wintery” mornings are far from over!
Despite a short Mother Nature “Burp”...
Excellent news for a long term forecast for base stability
and very high daily surface quality for the foreseeable future.
If you are a regional advance planner, what you have to look
forward to is a bonus extension of very much winter performance
during a time period that normally sees more spring-like trends
of the historic daily averages that hover just around the freezing
mark.
There are at least 2 important considerations here. Number 1 is
that you should be booking as many discretionary days off as
you can in the next 2 weeks. Number 2 is that we think these
below average daytime temps are going to extend some
extraordinarily fine conditions into March, so there’s a great
motivation to get your Spring Skiing plans in order as well.
Weather Notes:
Despite the “cool” first tracks outlook for the near-term,
the daily high temps are relatively easy within the 30 year
averages that are creeping up as we head towards the
end of the month. The sun is noticeably higher in the sky
and even when the air is cool, the intensity of direct solar
energy is very evident within seconds, it just feels warm
as it beams through, especially if you have a dark colour
on that can absorb the rays.
Conditions Notes:
There should be very close to ideal groomed
compaction rates across the entire array of
freshly groomed terrain due to the fact that
the most recent snowfall was 2 days ago, so
we now have a second night-shift to add a
desirable level of consolidation within the
top layers.
Within the Sous Bois/Hors Piste and Un-Groomed,
3.5 metres of natural snowpack in mid-February is
a great place to be for Expert bushwhackers who
rely on adequate depths for both fun and safety.
Most of the natural hazards are quite well buried
under a very thick blanket now. The challenge may
come from traffic patterns generating well established
mogul zones, but that’s going to be exactly the way
many Experts appreciate finding things, so if you are
one of that group, welcome to the heart of an expansive
range of choice.
We are very happy to report on the status of our main
focus for yesterday’s big, big grooming refinement story
regarding Versant Nord/North Side trails # 64 and 65
with these pic's of # 65, Banzai, which is very fine shape
having been wonderfully rendered from the Duncan Quad
top entrance, right down to the ravine at the bottom.

This is exactly what we want to see as the symbolic
achievement of the mature fullness of the Tremblant
ski seasons potential. It is a benchmark of sophisticated
grooming attainment that you can see we acknowledge
season after season in this record and we are overjoyed
to extend the tradition.

If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.
(

First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
