A fantastic day of authentic, genuine, pure winter performance.

Starts really sunny...

Just after lunch, the front came through,
the sun went behind the cloud and the
snow began to fall, rapidly...

Regardless of sunny or snowy, the skiing was
the same grade of excellence all day long.

At the end of the day, it’s impossible not
to be enthusiastic!

Tremblant’s unique Info.Ski Crews shown above are always cheerful and very
happy to see you. Their whole purpose is to provide utility intel for the benefit
of all Tremblant guests. We consult with them virtually every single day for
trail and grooming updates, as well as any operations or policy changes which
have certainly been occurring over time with the Covid-19 situation for only one
example. You can rely on their guidance for either optimizing your appropriate
skill level terrain selection, or to find out how to get anywhere within the Resort,
all you need to do is ask!

Statistically(Give Or Take A Couple Of Cm’s),
Today’s Snowfall Accumulation Equals
The 20 Year ANUAL Snowfall Average.

That’s Fabulous News Because...

We’re Up To Our Tips In Snow...

Technically, we’re up to more than our tips as we
could have pushed the ski vertically into the snow
further, but we left it here to be visible for the sake
of the illustration.

We use skis/poles as handy measuring references for scale
of a known length, in this case, skis @ 160cm’s, poles @ 122cm’s.

To carry a metre stick is impractical and too short for the depths
we need to attempt to record, so what you see above is the quickest
way we can show you a sampling of the snowpack reserves within an
open Lowell Thomas sector Sous Bois/Hors Piste zone.

We need to also re-emphasize that this crude attempt at measuring
is not accurate, it does not show the entire depth as we left the vertical
ski tip visible, so the actual available depth here is not completely
known. The point is however, if you need more untracked snowpack
depth than this for your Sous Bois explorations, you better move
to Revelstoke B.C.

Conditions Notes:

The quality of the entire groomed Alpine Snow Sports Trail
Network is superb. There is just a touch of friction in the running
characteristics of the new snow but on the pitch angles of most
slopes it is totally complementary to easy speed and directional
control for all skill levels. Within the groomed trail array, Nansen
is just as easy for Beginners as Banzai is for Experts. Fantastic!!!

For the Sous Bois/Hors Piste and Un-Groomed, it’s all
largely excellent as you can tell by the top pic in this post.
There is still evidence of the recent freezing rain storm, but
that is a lingering little crusty bit which is now well under the
surface of all the recent big snow. You may be able to feel it
in some Sous Bois tracks, but for about 97.334%, it is so well
buried and broken up by traffic that it is not very noticeable.
It is still visible in the trees though, and where it can be seen,
adds a beautiful sparkle to the field of view.

If you stand quietly for a few moments here, the rustling of the
little breezes clinks the ice coated tree boughs together for a
Mother Nature wind chime effect. Absolutely captivating.

Bottom Line On Conditions:

Average Is Excellent.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
