When the Open Trails, the Open Lifts and conditions can be changing
in very dynamic ways due to high winds and a big, big snowstorm...

Today is exactly the day you want to be talking frequently
with the Info.Ski Crews who are radio controlled and have
the best Mountain Intel on a minute-by-minute basis.

Virtually every aspect of your day can be enhanced by
the evolving knowledge of this valuable guest resource,
all you have to do is ask.

Weather Notes:

Please Note: There are conflicting wind velocity forecast
elements in the hourly projections when compared to
the actual conditions which are basically double the speeds.

Also when compared to much of the regional experience
of wet, we have to be thankful that all indications at
Tremblant are still completely snowy.

With a forecast of Sud/South Resort Base levels reaching
Zero C, plus an observed elevation differential of a cooler
by down to -5 c lower, today could absolutely have a
huge orographic additional snowfall potential up over
the trail network.

------------ Supplementary Weather Forecast Co-Factors: --------------

Please Note:
The original models we reviewed for this system several
days ago suggested there would be less wind than the
previous system which had very high velocities. Those
initial projections have turned out to be incorrect and
the wind speeds are once again indicated to gust into
the 70 to 90 KMPH range which could profoundly affect
safe lift operations.

Conditions Notes:

This is a very specific case where wild and unpredictable conditions
favour legitimate Experts.

Beginners and Intermediates will need to stay within designated
Green and Blue terrain and we would call the conditions as on
the very low side of forgiveness.

Heavy snowfall and strong winds are a combination that demand
serious respect and high levels of variable challenge along any
descent path, so if you’re an Expert and you see someone else
having difficulty, within the framework that challenge is also
a learning opportunity, render assistance or instructional guidance
if safely possible.

-------------- 1:05 P.M. Insert Update: ---------------

Please Note @ 7:27 A.M.: The preamble attached to the one
page Official Snow Report we publish here is also attached
to the Tremblant on line open trail list as a red banner across
the top of that presentation and we are including it here
because it is an extraordinary declaration very rarely made.
It is an Official advisory that anything can happen in terms of
unexpected degrees of lift closures for safe operating standards.

Please Note: Your T360 author is not yet able to
be on site due to a post-surgical, medical LOA.
We expect to have that cleared by mid-December.
12.16.23-UPDATE: Due to LOA logistical support
issues, plus other scheduling issues, return
delayed but working on A.S.A.P.

Thanks for your patience. In the mean-time, we
intend to maintain the daily, chronologically filed,
weather and trail status data plus whatever
observational commentary possible for archival
date/seasonal/historical period sampling.

Please refresh or revisit periodically,
and/or use the “Previous Topic” buttons
(located page top/bottom) to review

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
