-------------- Apres Midnight Apres Ski Edit @ 2:17 A.M. ---------------

More Big News.... and exactly the kind of thing
we’ve been waiting for...

Snowmaking On Versant Nord/North Side
Base At Beauchemin Bas/Lower To Expo Quad.

You see it here first, and more in the morning, but
this is a hugely positive sign for Summit-To-Base
access development.

Big Big BIG News !

Versant Nord/North Side Trail # 71,
Beauchemin Haut/Upper, Progressive OPEN

Here is a file shot taken at the entrance crest to the
Summit level pitch of Beauchemin Haut/Upper.

With this one new opening the skiable square area comes
very close to doubling, if not more, overnight. That’s HUGE
news when there’s only been one open trail to start with.

An Additional Possibility...???

We may have detected a test firing of Snowmaking
on Beauchemin Bas/Lower, at the base of the
Fuddle Duddle runout to the Expo Quad.
So far, it appears to be only a single unit but
if that expands we’ll let you know as soon as
we see it.

The possibility exists that this initial small zone
is being done to make a maneuvering pad for
the grooming machines that have a refuelling
station at this location. When they come into
this fuel dock, they may require extra depths
of snow to protect the tracks or prevent stirring
up rocks from the ground that could end up on
the trail runouts here.

--------- Major F.I.S. Women’s World Cup GS News Update - Event Cancellation: ----------

Well, what can you say, very disappointing for sure
but weather outside human control is responsible.
With thousands of hours of preparations, a full year
in the making, we can only imagine this has to be
the epitome of frustrations of “weather permitting”.

Weather Notes:

100% Sub-Zero C’s over total Mountain elevations for
the foreseeable future means big, big snowmaking
under near ideal temp ranges.

Conditions Notes:

Predicting the exact time of Beauchemin Haut/Opening
is limited to “soon”, however as soon as that happens,
the durable quality of P’tit Bonheur will double because
the traffic stress load will be cut by at least half, maybe
more.

Not only does the square area double but the Blue skill level
challenge rating means that a lot of the confident Intermediates
and Experts are going to immediately shift over to the wider,
steeper, more challenging terrain of Beauchemin. Another
HUGE traffic cohort that will probably move to Beauchemin
are the Racers. Typically, the Racers set up practice courses
down the extreme right side descending, at the very top of
the expansive Summit level pitch, but regardless of where
they set up, that alone will alleviate an immense amount of
fast traffic off of P’tit Bonheur.

It is important to note that with the current weather forecast
profile, there should be a considerable degree of refinement
in the finished groomed surfaces as the consistency of the
temps well below Zero C should reduce any of the dampness
or internal humidity that may have lingered or caused icy bits
from the first snowmaking cycles.

Archival Copy of Official 11.30.24 Daily Conditions Message:

Tremblant welcomes you for the third day of the season!
As you may have noticed, the unpredictable weather had
an impact on our operations. The mild temperatures in
recent weeks have meant fewer opportunities to run our
snowmaking systems. However, our team is always on
the lookout for every chance to create the perfect
conditions for you. Although most of our accessible
terrain is classified as beginner, please consider it
suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers and
snowboarders due to the crowding on the limited
terrain. Plan ahead for the end of your day on the slopes,
as the return to the South base will also need to be done
by gondola.

The forecast is promising, allowing us to plan for the
opening of more skiable slopes and lifts in the near future.
Several areas of the mountain are undergoing gradual
snowmaking, taking into account the needs for our
upcoming events: the PwC Tremblant World Cup on
December 7-8 and the 24h Tremblant from December 13-15.
