The Snow hasn't gone anywhere so seems evident that the
Open Trail Count is down a few for selective enhancement.

This maintenance includes Snowmaking, and that is directly
correlated to the Trail and Grooming status report below,
as well as the Archived screenshot of Tremblant's Mountain
Operations statement below.

There are two major sectors off-line, Nansen and Mi-Chemin
down to the TGV on the South side, and pretty much the
whole Geant/Superieur sector on the North. That part of the
North also has a lot of "progressive" or gradual openings.

Yesterday, Mountain Operations published a Summary of
the year-to-date as well as their immediate plans.
We are including a Screenshot for archival purposes.

It's a "Snowy" Job, But Somebody's Gotta' Do It!

With the season's Official extension to April 15th, this strategic
use of time and snowmaking resources is expected to ensure
the durability and quality of Tremblant's Alpine surfaces right
through to the last hour of the last day.

Basically, a minor inconvenience now will yield a huge benefit later on.
We support that investment for the perfectly sensible approach
it represents.

5, 10, 20, 50, 100 years from now, we hope this little window
into the beautiful season we have, winter 11/2012, will provide
Tremblant historians with detail, perspective and the sense of true
appreciation we have today and every day, for the privilege of being
able to participate in Alpine Winter Snow Sports in this magnificent
setting we know as Mont Tremblant.

Snow, Snow, Snow, = Go, Go, Go!
...To Tremblant!

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If You  "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)

T360 Way After Midnight, Night Shift Apres Ski...

Beyond the fact that there was outstanding Skiing and Boarding...

Quite a bit of discussion on the status of the Duncan Quad Chair Lift
today.

One main Operational aspect of concern are some stoppages resulting from
NON-SAFETY issues of mechanical timing within the cable/chair
system.

Here is an Archival Screenshot, Courtesy of Tremblant.ca F/B fan page.

Another aspect of this was the occurrence of some fallout debris
of a greasy or lubricant or water mix origins, onto Duncan Passengers.

You can go to our "General Tremblant Discussion" forum to see the
article authored by PowderSC on this topic, which he was able to introduce
as an element of Tremblant's above Duncan F/B item. We'll grab shots of
that for the archive too, as soon as we can.

After all that, they're now talking about overnight freezing rain, at least at the South
Base level, so we have to hope for Orographic Precipitation as Snow for the Summit and North.
We'll see how that's working out in 5 to 6 hours from now. There'a great chance of Snow, though
due to the Sub-zero ambient temps, forecast all day so far....

Tomorrows Preliminary Snow Report shows 88 runs with Edge Sector "Off-Line".

Overcast, snowing and easy -7 C daytime high temps.

Gunna' be a great ski/board day.... again!
