--------------------------------------------------
Early Apres Ski Edit @ 7:15 P.M.
It was Snowing, off and on all over Tremblant.
Accumulations were greater in some sectors.
Postcard du Jour... MCA, North...
Snowing, mostly all day in this area, created this
surreal, silent capsule of snowy nirvana. Satin soft surfaces,
almost as flat as a billiard table. Just enough fresh,
steadily falling, to keep it looking pristine.
South Side Cruiser du Jour.... Nansen.
Nansen was like indoor/outdoor carpet all the
way down, with one little exception, there were still
a series of race ruts on the main Pitch that could catch
you off guard in the grey light. If you hit one without seeing it
you could get a surprise launch air-ward. It still came out on
top for even quality, Summit to Base. (He's either taking her picture... most likely...
or proposing "on bended knee"... we still think it's the picture...)
There were pockets of Sunshine that occasionally
brightened areas up to the point that you could make out
shadows.
If You Have Good, Sharp Recently Tuned Edges,
You would have had a mostly exceptional day...
If you did not have tuned edges, you will have found
slick or icy sectors occasionally that may have caused
reduced control.

Fun!!!
5 Great Reasons To Be At Tremblant Today!
Today's Weather:
Whoa... it's a wee bit nippy out there, "Nippy" defined as -25 C...
Colder than expected we think, but not much wind so far,
and at least first thing, Sunny with intermittent cloud that could
turn into overcast.
Expected Day-Time Hight Temps around -8 C or 18F which are
not that hard to handle, particularly if the wind stays light to moderate
and from the Sou-West, or coming up the Mountain over Soleil.
At these low velocities, much of the North will be in the lee or sheltered
from any wind and everywhere else it should not feel like much at all.
....Subject to the whims of Mother Nature.
The Skiing/Boarding:
Absolutely Spectacular Alpine Snow Surfaces Though...
The Groomed will be like satin...
The Un-Groomed will be like thick suede...
Everything is Smoooth...
Pick your skill level and have a blast !!!
Conditions Caveats:
A) Weather .... Zero Exposed Skin Alert...
at least first thing this A.M. It's Cold out there...
B) Equipment .... Fresh Sharp Edges Are your Best Friend
when there's a "Firm" base that can be exposed by daily
traffic, wind or naturally occurring steeper or wide open
pitches.
C) Speed .... Things are Very, Very Fast, so "Fast" that
accidents can happen if you are not cautious about exploring,
traffic or unexpected glitches. Please, Please be careful.
Thanks for your visit, stay "tuned" if you feel like it,
but you should actually be on your way now!
We'll be adding more at various stages of "Apres Ski"
as time permits.

Courtesy of Tremblant.ca Oh Sure... there are a million legitimate reasons
why you may not be able to get here today, but if
you could, and you've chosen something different,
that's a critical error.
Tremblant is worth every effort you make
to be out on what are arguably the finest
slopes in Eastern North America, maybe
anywhere in the world if you love it as much
as many of us here do.
