Nothin' worse than running outa' "juice" when the scenery is this
spectacular, so either put a good charge on 'em, or bring spares,
just don't be caught without backup!

Back To Today's Weather....

Zero Exposed Skin Alert!
... at least for this morning...

Temp's should rise quite rapidly and with zero wind, so far...
and the solar energy of an also so far, brilliant Sun, this has every
good sign of being one of those "Postcard" Tremblant days!

We expect a day-time high of around -7 C, but with the off-base
lower than expected over-night lows, it could either take a while
longer to reach, or not quite make it.

We'd be surprised if we don't see some sort of breeze develop
during the day, but the wind that you'll notice the most will be
your "Air Speed" as you descend the Mountain. Be careful please,
in the exhilaration of speed, you may not notice the effects of
frostbite, so pay attention to gaps and seals on your outer layers.

Check Out The "Shred Factor", the ability of Skis or Board to
cut through, or "Shred" these great surfaces on Duncan. There
were one or two icy bits at the very top, but easy to navigate
with sharp edges.

Skiing and Boarding are generally excellent
within all rated skill levels.

The daily, or 24 hour, round the clock, efforts of Tremblant Mountain
Crews refines the groomed terrain on a continuous basis, rather like
"crop rotation" on a 600 acre farm where the land gets worked on
in a locational sequence that permits the most efficient use of
both equipment and man hours to keep everything in tip-top shape.

Conditions Caveat:
Watch Out For Icy Bits...

There can be glitches, look for patterns and pay attention.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If You  "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)

T360 Apres Ski ...

This does not need to be long because "Very Fine" or "Excellent"
can pretty much be used to describe the whole Mountain. The icy
bits were quite less pronounced today, at least it seemed that way
to us, so carving where ever your sharp edges would take you was
no problem.

All 4 Sides of Tremblant had smooth, reliable snow. There were
some slick zones, but in our opinion, there were less than yesterday,
so the Mountain Crews work is definitely rewarding us with incremental
daily progress.

Last Run...

Once the sun sets, the North quickly falls into shadow.
Compared with the far off sunny background the
Blue/Whiteness of the close trees seems very sharply
contrasted in this pic. as well.

With tomorrows elevated temp's over today, possibly reaching to
zero on the South Side Base, the Skiing and Boarding should be
even better at least for the day. Even a degree or two near freezing
can make surfaces more edge-able due to ever-so-slightly softening.

You'll be able to do more runs, more difficult or challenging runs,
but with a more confident approach, whenever the surface softness
increases grip levels the way we may see it tomorrow.

A very small "Spring" preview in a way....
