A quick few about yesterday...

This comes right into the domain of several of our recent points
about conditions "Transitions", being ready for anything, having
edges tuned, and bases prepared for the appropriate temp ranges.
Getting the most out of your Tremblant days is about adaptive
strategies for Gear, Body and Mindset.
Now On To Today's Skiing And Boarding....
Snow Surfaces are going to be generally very fine because the majority of the
Grooming was done after the temps went below zero.
The Summit based Terrain that can be accessed by using either the
North's Lowell Thomas Triple, or the South's TGV Quad will be the most
consistent in surface quality because the temps did not get as warm
at the higher elevations, so there was less thermal exposure.
Generally, due to the Southerly mix of yesterdays daytime warm winds,
the more temp sheltered North may have the advantage.
Conditions Caveat:
Considering that there was any degree of "Sticky" in the Snow Surfaces
yesterday, and we've now had an overnight drop in temps that have gone
from a wee bit of "Plus" to well below Zero at -8C and daytime high at -3C,
the soft or sticky could now have some amount of "Firm", "Hard"
or maybe even bits of "Icy" in places.
Not everywhere though, as Mountain Crews will have made the most of
things in last nights Sub-Zero temp Grooming shift, so bottom line on this
point is that you need to explore carefully before you go ripping around.
Equipment Caveat:
Tuned Edges and Bases are critical elements of control inputs for
speed regulation, steering and braking.
If you have not had a tune-up in the last 10 days of use, get one
or if you can, do it yourself.
