Welcome Back To Winter!

Hey, minus 13 C isn't as cool as was forecasted, by 6 degrees,
so while on one hand it's cooler than we've been used to for a few,
it's definitely not that bad.

Furthermore... there quite possibly could be fairly intense levels of
Solar radiation that will be quite capable of heating you up like
a microwave, should you remain still for a few moments in any
sunny, wind sheltered area.

With any luck, the daytime high temp could see into the -9, -7 C range???

SUNSCREEN ALERT....

First one of the season! The Suns rays will be coming at you today
from every direction imaginable... from up, down, left, right, back
forward... you get the point... from the reflective capability of every
"White" surface you travel over.

Passing through the cool air will only fool you into thinking there's
nothing happening until later tonight.....

Bingo! .... You've got "Racoon" eyes, a nice white outline where
your goggles or sunglasses kept the sun off while the rest of your face
got toasted!

How Good Is Tremblant?

Let the evidence speak for itself...

This is quite possibly one of the longest continuous lengths of virtually
uninterrupted time that Tremblant has been fully opened that we can recall.

Basically, we cracked into the 90's of open trails back on January 14, and we
hit 100%, 95 out of 95 on January 21st and since that time, with one or two
1 Trail down days, Tremblant has been fully open ever since.

Amazing to think that there has been very close to 6 weeks of pure, complete,
no disruptions, super high quality, consistent, beautiful, superb, reliable,
extraordinarily wonderful Winter!

Typically, we might have a good long run of 20 to 30 some odd days that
may have one or two "Thermal" events that shake things up for a few,
but not this season so far.

Within the last week, we've gotten almost a foot of fresh snow, 28 CM,
and like almost all the snow that's fallen, it's still all here, worked very
carefully by the Tremblant Mountain Crews into the base, each and every
day.

The contribution that this day in, day out, Grooming and Maintenance
consistency has made to all aspects of the Alpine Base of Tremblant's
slopes is immense.

Aside from the fact that yesterday, today and tomorrow are excellent
and that being here right now is an unrestricted joy....

A very real benefit is that near future Tremblant trip planners can make
their arrangements with the assured confidence that when they arrive,
the quality of the Alpine Ski, Boarding experience is going to be
of the very highest levels possible.

This is a great season, and this is a great time to be planning to
get to Tremblant as soon, and as often as you can.

Best... Days Of The Season!

Tremblant Sets The Standard.

---------- Apres Ski Edit, Archival Web Cam Pic.files ---------

Even though it was Sunday Afternoon, we were a bit
surprised at how quickly people left. Of course it was a travel
day for many American Presidents Week Holiday Guests,
but with such excellent conditions we thought more locals
would stick around rather than sit in traffic lineups on
the Autoroute.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived index pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are roughly 6, 25 day Index Pages per season.

( If You "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate, current to
25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by consecutive date.)
