for 5 more days....

However, according to The Weather Network, you won't be able to do it
in the Bright Sunshine today... they're saying Overcast and light showers.

You May need your Descente Poncho. Maybe Not... at this
early hour, with the kind of minute to minute unpredictability
that Mother Nature seems to want to surprise us with, it's
hard to tell exactly how things will develop.

That won't change the great Carving though, and with temps
just hovering at Zero at South Base, it could actually fall as snow
on higher elevations.

More later... Go if you can and have fun anyway... Just be ready
for anything...

....and it should be quite "Fast".

"Edges" people, you need good "Edges"....

After the daytime "Plus" temps have a little while to "Work"
on surfaces, it should take on this appearance and that's when the
real "Fun" begins.

First, the bottom portions of Tremblant's Open Trails become soft, then
as additional time and thermal energy have a chance to envelop the higher
elevations, they also transition from the overnight "Firm", there may even
be the odd "Icy" bit, to buttery smooth "Spring" Snow...

Looking at the 5 day forecast, we can expect to see this routine for the
rest of the season!

Yikes! ... "The Rest Of The Season" is the 5 day forecast!

Daytime High Temps of +5 C under Overcast sky's with
chance of afternoon showers(we think very slight, but who knows),
and strong Nor-Westerly winds blowing right up Nansen and across
the Summit towards Duncan.

Warm as it is, with the "Strong" in the wind factor, you'll
need to have windproof garment overlaps to maintain optimum
comfort. These gusty conditions can feel very cool without effective
wind-proofing.

Apres Ski... Apres Wild Weather Too!!!

First, the Skiing and Boarding Surfaces Open were very fine
course granular "Spring" but quite dry as a result of overnight lows
below freezing which stayed below Zero for a great deal of the
Mountain today. It skied like course winter snow. Fairly fast
except the very lowest portions of Nansen's plateaus.
Johannsen is fine because of it's steeper pitch, so Gravity takes over.

Unfortunately we drove to the North at just about the same time that
Expo had to be closed due to electrical issues, so we had to bundle all
back into car and go South. It was definitely colder on the North, so we had
been really looking forward to the whole Sissy Schuss/Fuddle-Duddle/la Griffe
sector, but that was not possible. We are 99% sure the snow there will
be at the very best of the list, so we're hopeful Expo will be back open
for tomorrow.

You could still ski/Board the North on P'tit Bonheur to Lowell Thomas and it
was predictably excellent, but without the Beauchemin continuation, not as
long a sustained workout run. Turning continuously over 4.something kilometres
of the complete North Summit to base without stopping is very high quality
exercise and we look forward to that kind of Lapping when we can.

All but the last few vertical meters of Nansen are Very Fine and Fast too!
Excellent carving.

Sweet P'tit Bonheur, always a beautiful choice. Cooler Surface temps had
greatly helped to retain excellent speed and control factors. Absolutely first
rate extreme carving exercise with virtually flawless grip.

Tomorrow's supposed to be a straight-up Supper Sunny Spring Day with
slightly lower temps.

So, we're calling for even better Skiing/Boarding than today, because
with less moisture after another Sub-Zero night and the same shred
depth for edging and control inputs, it should be a fair degree faster.
