Very early start to today's report as Family Christmas activity
today necessitates rearranging the schedule.
Yesterday was just one of those "Wow" days that starts out
"Wow" and goes all the way through and ends with "Wow" !
Irrepressibly Sunny, very fine conditions and a hint of Winter
Cool as it did start off with -16 C or so. That did not stay around long
though, the suns solar force could be felt almost everywhere
you stood in it. Heat form the sun on an otherwise "Brisk"
day was a welcome relief.
You don't need to wonder at all about how good this runs going to
be and you also don't need to worry about where you're going to
take it, because there really aren't any mistakes you can make with
any choice!
Sure, there are some glitches here and there. People with No Edges
will be the complainers, and those with edges will be rocketing around
with virtually complete control.
Below: we like this Skiers Technique, cause we use it too. You can
clearly see the shift in weight occurring as the skating action is a
push off the left foot to find the direction of the right foot which
becomes and alternating right/left action that can be used to
generate speed out of the turn.
The other part of this picture that's important is the Snow!
Look at the quality of the surface tracking by passing traffic
that has left distinct carves in the wonderfully malleable
top layer. This is "Fun" snow!
You could do this all day long, until Muscles are screaming with effort...
If you do... eat a whole bunch of lean Protein, white fish, chicken
whey shakes etc.. You want to support the demands made on
muscle/skeletons with abundant repair fuel, hence, Protein!
These fine surfaces may not have the super bright sunshine
today, but they will be exactly the same great Skiing/Boarding
quality...plus an incremental degree of "Better" due to
overnight grooming(below).
New terrain or New Features...
These guy's shown above do it all!
Mean While, Back at the South Side Resort Base,
Foot of Johannsen, beside the Gondola Loading Zone...
It was....
Super Demo Day: Yesterday was the first "Super Demo Day' of the season and if attendance
and activity are any sign of success then it was very successful.
this "Try Before You Buy" venue, held 3 or 4 times per season, are
always one of our favourite days. There's no better place than the Slopes
of Tremblant to try new gear and to match your skill set with
equipment that will enhance your Mountain experience!
We'll be doing a feature on Super Demo Day for upcoming
days scheduled, so keep an eye out for that and be sure to book
the day off so you can do "Research and Development"!

Trail and Grooming Status Report, Courtesy of Tremblant.ca Everyone loves a Sunny day, and there were big numbers out to
not only enjoy fine winter conditions, but explore the newly
opened sectors like Duncan's lower half, accessed here from Vanier,
the connector from the top of the Expo Quad.
Please note: Newly opened terrain often requires a day or two to
break up the course size of initial surfaces. Traffic and Grooming
quickly add finer sized crystalline characteristics, so do your part
to help and get out and Ski or Board Tremblant!
Pg. under construction... go now, take the whole day off!

If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.
(

First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
