With Soleil Sector Newly Opened...

Reviewing the Official Trail info. below shows that there are
some groomed trails, most notably Franc Sud and Toboggan,
probably the single most popular decent path in that area throughout
the season.

It is important to note that while Soleil is all quite skiable, there can be some
common early season break-in factors typical of all newly opened terrain.
The fullness of seasons base is not yet achieved, so even with as much
as we have with this years great head-start, you need to be on the
look-out for variable surface composition where there is EITHER
more Blown snow or Natural snow, depending on how Mother Nature
deposited drifts over topographical contours and/or how Mountain
Crews placed the Snowmaking gear.

Turning Grip can change quickly between blown and natural base
sections, so it's always wise to explore with care prior to any sustained
high speed runs. Toboggan in particular with it's trademark dip's and
swoops also has several blind crests where vision over the crest is
not possible. It just so happens that below those crests is typically
where moguls form, so it's the last place you want excessive speed
that can result in unintended airborne launches.

---------- Conditions Caveats: -----------

Occasional windblown and/or Traffic generated slick zones,
primarily on steeper pitches, below crests, or around
Trail Intersections..

Watch out for Holiday Guests that may be new to the area
and may make sudden directional changes. Allow wide
margins for passing.

Caution advised in Un-Groomed, Natural Snow Only, Open Expert Terrain.
Variable Natural Hazards exist that need reduced speed to navigate.

-------------- End of Caveat --------------

Todays Weather:

Early -12 C, rising to -7 C under Overcast Sky's with Snow Flurries.
Moderate Sou-East winds from over Duncan running across Summit
towards Nansen. An easy Boxing Day Early Winter day!

Pg under Christmas Holiday As Time Permits construction.
Thanks for your patience and your visit! More on the way ASAP.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
