----------------- 8:00 A.M. Orig. Post ----------------

89(*) Open Trails on the KKKKoooll, but KKKKKuick, not to mention…
Brilliantly Sunny, 4 sides of Tremblant!

(Please Note: there are 4 “Race” designated Trails in use that are
not included in the Open Number as well as 2 Only, closed Trails.
Total Trails “In Use” are 93/95.)

When the Seasonal Averages for this Final Day Of February show
Historically, Zero to -1 C, or 32 degrees F, we define this mornings
-22C as KKKKKooooll.

The Skiing and Boarding will be:

-Fantastic,
-Fabulous,
-Fun,
-and Very, Very Fast!

… and we are forecasting it will remain “All Of The Above” for the foreseeable future.

You Don’t Need To Be A Rocket Scientist To Put These Two Together...

There’s Absolutely No Doubt They Can Only Add Up To One Thing…

Any Of Tremblant’s Lifts Are The Way Up To Excellence!

The Weather Is The Talk Of The Town…

and more specifically...

The Arctic Vortex Is The Talk Of The Town…

Everyone from Atlanta Georgia to Moose Jaw Saskatchewan(and most places
between and around) are talking about this winters unusual duration of very
cold, statistically very infrequent, deep Winter temperatures, brought to you by…

"The Arctic Vortex”. It’s not new, been around for Billions of years, but it
is the first time in recent memory that it has gotten this much attention.

If you’re looking at this Today, this evening, over the Weekend, take charge
of your Winter and get out on these very fine slopes now. We’ve got an
extended opportunity for Pure Winter Conditions that is very rare for the
end of February/beginning of March, and it should not be missed.

If you are looking at this record 1, 2, 5 years from now, researching
weeks, months or any other periods for visitation, this Weather, at this
time, is a statistical anomaly. Normally, we’re experiencing the beginnings
of “Spring" Conditions by now. If you’re looking at this record 10, 20, 100
years from now, researching any aspects of Historic relevance, we think
it will still stand as a statistical anomaly, particularly if “Global Warming”
continues to be an issue of Geophysical Importance to Planet Earth.

As we commented 2 days ago, the weather is a source of “Feedback Frustration”
as average non Skier/Boarder regional inhabitants are “Sick and Tired” of the Cold
and the Snow which is giving the Media a field day of Anti-Winter to talk about
after the hype of the 2014 Winter Olympics ended last week.

But for us, and all the True Tremblant Winter Snow Sport Fans we know...

More Winter at a Ski Resort?

We’re Delighted!

We’ll subscribe to that any time, and Very Happily!

We Love Winter!

Below: Devils River on Versant Nord, The North Side, is a Benchmark
of All-Day Excellence in High Performance Traction. The Speed
capability of the Early Morning Cold Groomed Snow is nothing
short of Awesome and when combined with the Carving Grip,
places it at the very top of Most Thrilling Exercise the Human
Machine can participate in at Expert Skill Levels.

Below: McCulloch’s Upper Pitch on the South Side typically has more
traffic than Devils River, so the overall use of it’s surfaces will see
more effects, however the Mid-week numbers are not excessive and
the base is extremely resilient, so it has shown itself to have All-Day
evenness throughout the season so far and we expect that to continue
not only for McCulloch, but for all the Open Groomed Terrain.

The Upcoming School “Spring Breaks” may create differences, but until
the Holiday Numbers become apparent, Seasonal History/Experience so far
still supports ongoing Base/Surface Quality.

-------------- Conditions Caveat --------------

It is inevitable that after typical Seasonal Weather Fluctuations
that there can and will be Naturally Occurring Surface Hazards.

Any Such Hazards will be dimensionally minuscule, Very Small,
compared to the Vast Majority of Superb Surfaces, however…

Small or not, if you encounter a slick or icy patch at high speed
while trying to turn for example, an accident is possible.

Therefore, we encourage careful initial exploration, particularly
on steeper Expert Terrain.

Verify Safe Passage before ripping around.

-------------- end of Caveat --------------

Conditions Notes:

Please Note: Review trail status icons/legend in graphic below
for individual trail detail.

In practical terms, when the the season ends will be not be determined
by any lack of Snow or Skiable Terrain in our opinion, because…

All this Deep extended cold will put the Frost so far into the Mountain
that we’re guessing there could be Great Skiing on some of the Sun
Sheltered North Side Slopes ’til June!

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
