70(*) Open Trails on the South and North Slopes at Tremblant
No foolin’….
You Can Shred Like This All Day… if ya' got ‘da Muscle for it…
Put all those April Fools Pun’s aside and do what ever you need to do
to get yourself on the Glitch Free, 100% Wall-To-Wall spring coverage
at Tremblant.
If the extended cold of this winter has you wishing for summer…
We love the seasons just as much as anyone, and we will eventually
enjoy the new growth of the hardwood trees, the fresh shoots of
healthy lawns and the real warmth of short sleeve weather…
….but we're not ready for it yet, and if it’s been a while since you were
on the slopes at Tremblant, neither will you after one run, one exhilarating
descent, one fleeting flight over pristine smooth snow surfaces….
it’s enough to heighten your sense of appreciation for skiing again and
you'll find yourself wishing that it would never end… but you know it will…
and all too soon…
Make the most out of every moment you can be on these extraordinary
alpine winter snow surfaces. There is no summer substitute For skiing/boarding…
Nothing comes close… As long as this winter may seems to have been,
you’re going to find yourself staring at your lawnmower soon enough, just
wishing you’d made it out one more time… Do not make the mistake of missing
every single opportunity you can to carve up some of the sweetest spring
skiing we’ve ever seen.
If the Deep Freeze has kept you curled up by the fireplace, it’s warm now,
so warm that for those of us that have been out all winter, it seems
downright Hot out there! Whatever your perspective, the single digit “plus”
above zero daytime temps are super easy…. time to break out the sunscreen
and head for not only the slopes, but the outdoor patio’s too!
It’s easy to get spoiled by such well manicured terrain, and
examples like Versant Nord, Rigodon, above are awaiting your
discovery like jewels tucked away for private exploration.
The sweet spots of spring occur on a different basis almost every
day due to the unique influences of sun, temp and wind, so
it’s actually necessary to get to some of the far corners of Tremblant
just to find them!
Softened Mogul Action.
This North Side Mogul Action is typical of all Tremblant’s softer surfaces
after the daytime spring warming cycle has rendered the afternoons
very forgiving conditions. The interesting part as far as performance is
concerned is that the underlaying Frost is keeping the top layers from
getting too deep for bump-to-bump recovery.
The Weather: Forecasted to reach +6 C, but after yesterdays excess
above forecast, we would not be surprised to see it go a bit over today
as well.
The good part is that the overnight is forecast to be sub-zero by 3 or 4
degrees, so that will facilitate the ongoing stability of coverage as
surfaces re-solidify. Standard equipment for all typical Spring mornings
is still fresh edges if you want optimal all day performance.
For Tomorrow, i.e., Wed…. a wee bit cooler, just a couple above Zero,
Overcast in the Morning and Snow! Partial clearing and maybe
afternoon Sun.
