Super Easy -7 C, rising to -2C under Overcast with “Flurries”.

We would actually call the amount of new snow more than flurries, there’s
been a significant accumulation that favours the North Sectors, but is evident
everywhere.

We’re hoping to be able to report a healthy increase in the freshly
Groomed array Apres Ski, but until then... It’s essential to be
cautious on trail selection that is above your realistic Skill Level
because there’s a lot of new, fresh Snow that has depth and tracks
that can mean extra challenge, and extra muscle, to navigate.

This is especially challenging for Beginners and Intermediates. Best results
there go hand in hand with “Slow”.

The amount of any new accumulations with today’s “Flurries” could also
affect the “Easy” factor to a degree, however at this stage, with Spring
literally around the corner, any new snow integrated into the base is a
long term asset to the conditions moving forward.

Additionally, any new snow packed and groomed into the existing base
has a 95%, All-Snow substrate, so the integration will be far more even
than if there had been any more typical Spring-like Thaw/Freeze layers.
Practically speaking, there just isn’t much Ice in the base yet, so every
layer of snow is a welcome enhancement.

That may change in the next 48-72 hours, but for today and tomorrow...
it’s still All-Winter.

Tremblant Alpine Snow Sport Utility Notice:

The Weather is going to start the annual Spring Cycles of daytime above freezing
to overnight below freezing with 48 Hours.

You may have been able to get away with "Out-of-tune Edges" when everything is
All-Snow, but not so when the introduction of ice formation in the overnight mix
occurs.

PLAN AHEAD... if you have not had a Tune Up on Skis or Board within 10-15 days
of Mountain use... consider doing it before your next visit.

If you’re here for an Overnight Stay:

Do Not Get This Done At Home...

Whip Your Skis or Board into Le Ski Shop the first Evening
or Apres Ski you’re here.(**)

(above) IF AT ALL POSSIBLE...
have your tune up done by Le Ski Shop in the Chalet du Voyageurs(**) because
not only is their “Overnight Discount” price @ $35.00(plus Tax’s) Crazy Good Value....
but the computer guided Wintersteiger Discovery, 2.0, is arguably the best Ski Tuner
on the Planet. It is Not Aggressive on your edges, but it produces the most
precise trueness along your running surfaces possible at this time. Only
a shop with the tremendous volume that Tremblant has can justify this
very expensive, and very, very fine equipment.

FURTHERMORE... only a shop with the Staff Experience and Knowledge that
comes from the volume that Tremblant has, can produce the outstanding
results on your Skis or Board that are possible with this Tuning Equipment.

We do Not Get Paid to say this. We Speak as we Find. We pay for our Tune-ups
and we fully recognized BOTH Value and Expertise. The Staff are Local Ski/Board
Freaks who care deeply about what they do, and it shows in the results which is
why we promote them.

(**) Chalet du Voyageurs is located beside the Lower P1 Level of the Cabriolet
Base Station, Versant Sud, South Side, Tremblant Resort Village, Main Vehicle
and Pedestrian Entrance.

It’s been a Historic and Fabulous Run of Pure Winter, but even the
most enthusiastic Deep Freeze Folks are ready for a wee bit of
Spring Warm-up, and that’s right around the 48 hour corner from now!

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
