“Pure Winter”(**) Conditions

Super High Performance On Open Groomed Terrain.

And in a relative sense...
that goes for All Skill Levels from Beginners up to Experts.

It has now been two weeks since the last thermal burp Mother Nature had
and the ongoing refinement of the top layers continues to improve for the vast
majority of All Rated Skill Levels of the Groomed, Open Terrain.

In that same time period there has been additional Natural Snowfall that has
also allowed the Re-Opening of the Un-Groomed Experts Only Terrain.

The Bottom Line is that we are in the Heart of the Mature Winter Season Now.

One of the most frequent year-round questions we get asked is:
“When would you book your Tremblant Ski/Board Holiday?”

(In a Hypothetical, No Restrictions, Anything is Possible, Ideal Scenario...)
These are the days and the reasons we reply “February” so enthusiastically.

PLEASE NOTE: Tremblant Trip Planers/Researchers Need To Know that ANYTIME
is a great time to book a Tremblant Ski/Board visit if you have time or other
restrictions that you have to work around. Regional Conditions, in our case,
the entire East Coast of North America, are always going to be somewhat comparable.
For sure, some weather systems pass through either higher or lower on the
latitude scale, but generally a lot of it evens out. In our opinion, the inherent
advantage that Tremblant has is it’s more Northerly Latitude within the group of
it’s regional peers, and typically “North” is always a Winter advantage over “South”.
We feel this point is particularly significant at seasons beginnings or ends when
even 2 or 3 degrees C can make the difference between Sub-Zero and Thaw.
This season we submit that even in February, it means the difference between
“Winter" and "Better Winter”.

What you get at Tremblant is “Optimal”, regardless of date.

(**) "Pure Winter” Conditions are those we define as absent of any recent
“Plus” Value, i.e., above Zero Degrees C, thermal influence of any sort.
The principle benefit of that definition is that Mountain Crews daily Grooming
and Maintenance cycles do not have to “Recover” any directly caused “Icy” from
within the current Surfaces.

That does not mean there’s no “Icy” out there at all though, because as all
experienced Skiers and Boarders know, the substrates of the base can have
an undetermined seasonal mix including some potentially “Icy” components
under there that can be generated by wind or high volume traffic patterns.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
