but they seemed to always be out on the horizon and rarely over the slopes.
The Performance was All Spring, All Day.
Super Soft without any “Mushy” to speak of, and quite Fast with very little
moisture drag.

for a statistically accurate sample... there seemed to be a consensus that the
snow and conditions on the North were better on average than those of the
South. In spite of any personal preferences, there were many who expressed
great appreciation for North Side Conditions simply on their technical merits
of completeness and quality.

as it was today, but with an overnight low of -5 C, there will inevitably be “Icy Bits”
in the mix for tomorrow, at least for the morning..

nothing else. Even the moisture induced drag/suction/resistance that had been
in some zones on previous days, seemed to have disappeared and where there
was adequate line-of-sight for speed, you could carve out any turn radius you
wanted without any fears at all. On top of that... there were very few brave souls
out there with you, so for most of the day, you felt completely alone.
Basically, you could ski fresh corduroy tracks every single run...
...and for all that, the only thing you needed to do for comforts sake, was to
have some means of remaining dry, and indeed, about half those out yesterday
were using their Descente Ponchos.
Today is so far WITHOUT Rain. Even though the forecast calls for it mid-day,
right now, as you can see from the current pic above, it does not appear as
though it will rain any time soon and there are Rays of Sunshine crossing
over the Mountain as this is being written.
We think there is a distinct possibility, even a fair degree of probability...
that the Weather Forecast Models are WRONG and it might just be a Sunny Day
All Day ????
Is it possible that it was a Foolish April 1st Forecast, or an April Fools Forecast,
or any other descriptive terms to describe inaccuracies on April 1st.?
One things no fooling’... there’s only 10 days left in the Official Season, so go now
or hold your peace ’til next November ‘cause this is it... the final 10 countdown...

overnight, but as the thermal influence thaws off some of the top layers,
the debris from a whole season gets revealed because it does not melt along
with the snow. This debris is for the most part vey fine particulate from Trees.
The wind has been working since November, whipping up all manner of Leaves
Needles, Bark, Moss, Lichens, etc., etc., and while it is not the prettiest sight,
it is for the most part, harmless and totally organic.
Conditions:
Relative to Spring Conditions For Typical/Historic, April 1st.
Excellent Spring Corn Snow Fast... Smooth... Mega-Carve Wonderful.
Weather Notes: +8 C, Breezy, SO FAR mostly sunny, but overcast light rain
forecast even though looking at the sky it seems unlikely.
