On The Plus Side, All The Snow That Fell, Stayed As Snow.

Proof Of Snow Update:

That is a 122 Cm’s/48 Inch Ski Pole Buried Straight into the
Accumulated Snowpack within the Summit, Nord, Lowell Thomas
Sector. This is the same POV as shown in the body of the original
post below, but with all the additional snow added.

On the Negative Side...

the New Snow that fell today was rather thick, heavy and high resistance.

Forward Vision where there was Cloud Fog was greatly reduced and
the natural contrast that we need to navigate contour irregularities, nearly
disappeared within shades of cloudy grey. Super Slow Speeds were essential
for safe passage where either vision or contrast were restricted.

Once again, Camera Use was highly restricted due to Snow Cloud/Fog
Density and Mist keeping Lens obscured.

In the final Balance of Things, and adding to an Overall Positive POV...
We have to be happy with so much Snowfall retention, however,
due to its thickness, Grooming tonight will make all the difference
in the world to “User Friendly” Tomorrow.

The Skiing Is Excellent For Any Date...

But For April 7th, It’s Really Excellent!

The Snow in the pic. above from Yesterday’s Last Run on Marie-Claude
may look a bit chunky around the Ski tips, but the reality was that, at the
time, it was actually very light and fluffy, so that’s just the way the tips broke
through. Skiing on Versant Nord, Marie-Claude Asselin and adjoining Banzai was
a Mid-Winter, Snow White Dream!

No matter what the temps do today, as long as it does not rain, the new
snow may get humidity induced thickness, but never-the-less, it will
become a welcome addition to the strata that reduces hazards and
maintains coverage.

Sud, South, Nord, North, Soleil...

Everything Open Got New Snow...

In The Mean-Time...

Practical Photography, Rapidly Became Impractical...
(as you can see above)

A lot of what we got pic.wise, was useless as it became practically impossible
to keep swirling, blowing, heavy snowfall out of the camera lens. There was no
direction of shelter and the snow just kept on coming as the afternoon progressed.

Each new descent had a Satin Smooth Top Layer being added to by the minute,
and for those lucky enough to be here, it was like a gift from Mother Nature herself
that will no doubt live on in memory as a truly remarkable and very rare April
Skiing Experience.

We Skied The South... And it was all just as much fun as the North, But...

Camera Use Was Not Possible. Lens... Instantly Snow-Coated...
Control Buttons, Switches, Tabs... All Instantly Snow-Coated and with hand warmth, soaked.

McCulloch(descent Line on extreme Left going down)... Excellent,
Nansen... Excellent. Beauvallon/Alpine... Really Excellent!

In Addition to Everything Above...

It Snowed All Night...

So this Mornings First Tracks Are Going To Be Predictably Excellent.

But... All The New Snow Fun May Be Short Lived...

But Then Again... It Might, Just Maybe, Could Possibly, Who Know’s For Sure???
Stay “All Snow” ??? like it did a few days ago...???

Weather Notes:

This Is A Forecast. It is for South, Resort Base Level and We Are Hoping
Things On Cooler Mountain Elevations Will Be Different.(???)

There was a similar scenario on April 3rd, when all the “Rain” came as “SNOW”.
Keeping “Fingers Crossed” for good luck that it happens the same way again???

Very Progressively assembled, and perhaps Short Report here this A.M. as we
may just try to go early to capture the Snow In The Trees Photogenic Scenery
Before the Temp's go up this afternoon... The Daytime High is indicated to be
+6 C and Light Rain, but we think there’s some possibility it could remain
a largely “Snow” event, especially on Summit and Nord Sectors.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
