Due to the Freezing Rain Warning last night, Tremblant Mountain Op’s
stored the Gondola Cars in the Sud, South Base Indoor Storage
overnight and we are very pleased to see them back on the cable
and in use early this morning.

there may be any combination of “Spring” Skiing Surface Conditions possible.

heading out for the Mountain and one major clue to the overall disposition
to either wet or dry on a day like today is to watch for the "Ecole Sur Neige”,
Ski School Instructors and the Mountain Info.Ski Crews to be wearing their
Descente Poncho’s, as would be visible on the Web Cams.
The “Pro’s” on the Mountain generally like to stay Dry for their day outside,
so in the balance between the easy side of not having to deal with another Layer,
or staying Dry, when you see the “Pro’s” suiting up with the Poncho’s, you know
they have decided it’s worth the effort.
As far as a clinical projection for the Alpine Snow Sports Trail Network, Weather
notwithstanding, we feel it will be 100%, Fast, Fun, Pure Spring with excellent
Edge-Set and high Traction that will be equally present across all Skill Level Rated
Groomed Terrain.
In the Un-Groomed Hors Piste, Sous Bois, and Glade zones, most of it will be
beautifully soft fun, some of it may be frozen or semi-frozen. There will be
naturally occurring hazards of organic and rock that are possible in both predicable
patterns or in wind exposed directions, as well as less predictably where there
may be sub-surface anomalies that can become exposed by either warm weather,
snow thawing, or traffic wear patterns.
Weather Notes:
At Least The Rain Icons Are Small... This tells us that the Weather is most likely
to move in bands of activity through the Region. “If...”, those bands pass over the
Mountain, they will probably be in narrow ranges of precipitation that may transit
quickly and could leave portions of the Mountain dry. Much of todays alternating
periods of dry or wet could be effected by the wind velocity that is propelling it.
Generally speaking, the peak gusty bits with the wind are usually on the
edges of the active bands, so as you can see by the Gust Wind Speed
values of the day-by-hour forecast, those speeds are the reason we say
they may “Transit Quickly” above.
There are numerous “Wild Cards” in the mix with any forecast like this, so
the best approach is to be as ready as you want for almost anything. Bands
of active weather could also include Cloud/Fog reduced vision. Yellow Lens Alert.

Bonjour from Tremblant! With the freezing rain of last night,
we must work a lot before delivering the whole mountain.
In such circumstances, our grooming process takes three
times the normal working time. We still have to verify some
of the trails, but the South, North and Soleil sides are opened.
Several sectors, including the Edge and all our glades, will
remain closed. We invite you to visit this webpage regularly
to stay up to date with the last changes. Have a great day
