T360 Apres Midnight, Apres Ski Edit @ 12:15 A.M.
Revised Open Trail Count to 68(*). Data Attached Below.

There was sufficient total energy to soften virtually everything
by shortly after Noon Hour. Between Sun and Ambient Air Temps
you could feel warm to begin with, and when you added in the
effort expended to descend through some “Thickness”, it was
not long before the Layers needed to be reduced as you quickly
began to feel “Hot”!

La Griffe, Upper Pitch, Surface Sample.

With its lower Nor-East orientation, La Griffe has some
of the least direct Sun exposure and we found it to have
a still firm centre on the upper sections, while the lower
portion that ends up intersecting at Fuddle-Duddle Bas, Lower,
was soft enough to start building some fair size moguls.

If anyone told you La Griffe was “A Sheet Of Ice”, as we had heard,
in our opinion, they would be the ones with dull, un-tuned edges,
and/or they would possibly be Intermediate Skiers/Boarders who
do not possess the required Skills that match the Black Diamond,
Experts Only, Trail Difficulty rating.

TOMORROW: FORECAST Sunny, Partial Cloudiness developing later
in the day with Snowfall, Apres Ski. Temps up to +3C at Sud, South
Resort Base Level. What we least like is the forecast strong Easterly
winds rising up over the North Side from basically Beauvallon, Lowell
Thomas Sectors, crossing the Summit towards the TGV Summit Off-Load.

Wax Or Coat Ski/Board Bases with “Warm” Temp Range Material.

Today should be a Text Book case-in-point of a Classic, Spring
“Sweet Spot” of Timing where all signs of slickness from overnight
Sub-Zero, begin to soften, and for a period of 2.5 to 3.5 hours
(or more, if we’re lucky), if/before things get too warm and slushy.

Favourable factors for extended Spring Excellence today
include, but may not be limited to...

-Low Week-day Public Attendance means
less traffic wear per square unit of Open Terrain,
-Very Low Relative Wind,
-Single Digit “+” Day-time High Temp,
-Long Hours Of Direct Sunlight for enhanced
Last Run Vision/Contrast,
-Flat, Level, Smooth Snow White Winter Wall-To-Wall Coverage,
with very very few glitches,
-etc., etc.
