Throw your gear in the car and go to Tremblant... NOW!

Fresh powder from Mother Nature...
A little Pre-Christmas gift you can give yourself!

Conditions are that good... make whatever excuses you need to,
but just get here as soon as you can.

This is what we've been waiting for...

We'll be back with more shortly, but we really wanted to get this in
for any earlybirds sitting on the fence... just go....

Scroll down for Morning Daylight update...

DAYBREAK UPDATE:

The Official trail count this morning is at 14, however, there is a
"progressive" or gradual opening of this trail count that will take
place during the next few hours. We start out with North Side
access via the Lowell Thomas chair lift for the top half runs that
have been on-line since opening day. As per the following paragraph,
this is where there will be a "Progressive" or gradual opening of the South Side.

There are race teams on the Mountain preparing for the upcoming
FIS races and runs have been set aside for their use for the time being.

Todays weather sees us starting out at around -10C under cloudy
skies, but that's fine because those clouds contain Snow! How much
snow they contain has yet to be determined, but if it is anything
like yesterdays snowfall, it could be another significant accumulation...
only time will tell.

We have contradictory wind forecasts today... from the Weather Network,
the wind is forecast to be from the South East, or moving across the
Mountain from the Duncan sector towards Beauvallon, while Tremblant.ca
predicts an North West wind which would be coming pretty much directly
up the Mountain on Beauvallon... regardless, it should be at a low to
moderate velocity of around 5km . The Lowell Thomas chair lift should
be sheltered from the wind until the mid-way point, but with the low
wind speed, it really shouldn't be much of a bother and what you will
feel will be closest to the top.

Here is a Web Cam Snap Shot of the flag at the Summit, courtesy of
http://www.tremblant.ca. Looking at this flag via the Tremblant Web
Cam system is always a good indication of where the wind sits and
at this time we can see that http://www.tremblant.ca is correct in its
indicated wind direction.

After you've read all the forecasts about wind direction, you can always check the flag to see what is really going on. Here we see the Summit Observation deck with the Tremblant flag streaming in a South-Westerly direction at this time. As everyone knows, that could change any time. Continued from Page 1.

"Progressive" or the Gradual opening of terrain is often necessary
to facilitate either maintenance or activities such as Alpine Race
events on the Mountain. Today we have a "progressive” opening
of the South Side and now that it's open, great skiing/boarding
from "Top To Bottom".

Mid morning update... South Side opens Top To Bottom. Johannsen has immaculate grooming and with all the fresh snow our surfaces have plenty of "Grip".

All the fresh snow we got yesterday was just what the Doctor ordered.

Loads of big, fat snowflakes make a huge difference and you should
be doing whatever it is you need to do to get here. Days like this are
precious, so we hope you can get out and enjoy it!
