What a Christmas Present! 48 open runs this morning, all wrapped up
in a beautiful white surface that we can ski and board on to our hearts
content. The ribbon on the present will be the forecasted partially
sunny skies and very mild winter temps at just below freezing
(Thank You very much Mother Nature), with the summit remaining
at a very pleasant -4C.
Todays conditions are a gift and we hope you're here to enjoy them!
Everything is not only all set to enjoy, but the forecasted temps just
below freezing are exactly what we need to preserve all the tremendous
efforts that have gone into creating and maintaining our conditions so far.
Today is a one of a kind, relaxed atmosphere, everyone will be in a
jolly mood and looking forward to that great huge Christmas dinner
of high quality protein... Turkey!
Ah yes, Turkey! Just what the doctor orders for repairing and building
muscle! So then, it's very important that you consider the therapeutic
value of a Turkey based Christmas Feast for the benefit of leg muscles
that are screaming for protein after a full days workout on the slopes.
Ask your doctor, we're sure he/she will confirm that turkey is an excellent
source of post-workout protein, so dig in!
Of course, Apple Pie, Buttertarts, Shortbread Cookies and Chocolate
are not ideal muscle building foods, but we're sure you can put up with
that, just remember moderation.
Hey, did anyone get new Skis or a new Board under the tree this morning?
We hope so! ...if not, it may be wise to plan a stroll through the Ski/Board
shops at the resort village to see if there are any Boxing Day sales.
Speaking of Boxing Day, tomorrow we are forecasted to have a big Snow
Event from Mother Nature. The amount we could get is debatable and the
forecasted total accumulation has been revised downward somewhat
from where it was earlier in the week, but we're optimists so we're hoping
for at least 25 Cm and we think it could even be a little on the up-side
from there due to the typical weather patterns on the Mountain which
often produce more than the forecast, just like we got 2 weeks ago.
Time will tell, but we're keeping our fingers crossed for good luck on
that one.
