Weather Notes:

The indicated wind speed for the Sud/South Resort base
will likely be a fraction of the force facing into the gusty
blast coming straight up P’tit Bonheur this morning and
there may be times you need to use poles to push through
it, although it will still be fun because it is a legitimate use
of “Awesome” when you are both staring directly into the
face of Mother Nature’s raw energy at the top of Tremblant,
then skiing the cool, all winter, clinical trail excellence while
fiercely facing it.

Undoubtedly this velocity will generate unique drifting
patterns that are substantially different than whatever
the total ends up with, speaking of which....

The total accumulation forecast has actually been adjusted
to less than previous, but we are not giving up on some
still significant differences over the Mountain due to both
drifting and localized orographic potential. It’s just way
too early to be specific yet.

----------- Supplementary 2.23.23 Weather Data: --------------

This will provide some insight into the reasons
for the Official Trail data specifically referring to
lift function that may see alterations or modified
operations as a consequence of high velocity winds.
T360 supports all "safety first” protocols.

Conditions Notes:

Big wind can do very big shaping to any beneficial
snowfall amounts so we expect that there will be
many unique patterns within the Mountains conical
and contour profile.

You could see drift-in powder lines on Nansen and on
Beauvallon/Alpine Haut/Upper today. You could see very
effective Sous Bois fill-ins throughout the Soleil sector today.

You could see significant drift-in within the Edge sector while
at the same time there may be wind formed desert-sand waves
on P’tit Bonheur.

You could also see some wind-blasted bare base exposures
over contour crests or on wide open wind facing trail expanses,
so it will be necessary to be very mindful and observant of
patterns that can help you safely navigate zones of challenge.

Exploring can be super-fun on days like today, there’s just so
much variety in the way surfaces may be evolving. Just be careful
with the speed and if it’s super blowing snowy, remember that
reduced contrast in white-out conditions can camouflage lateral
drifting lines where they may be equivalent to ramps across
descent lines that could be difficult to distinguish.
