The Lull Between The Snow Storms...
Today Is Day-2 Of Mother Nature’s 2 Day Sale On Sunny And “Quiet”,
at least as far as the weather is concerned...
2.14.25.Old.Village.Telephoto.Views.Summit.Level.McCulloch.Kandahar.Taschereau.d.jpg
This Apres Ski telephoto perspective above, taken yesterday
from the adjacent Old Village of Mont Tremblant clearly shows
the great start that Mountain Crews have on the post-blizzard
initial grooming quality.
We expect that today will be a noticeable, positive step upwards
in compacting the loft out of the depths and consequently an
increase in the scope of mogul resistant all-day smoothness.
If there’s a wild card, that would be the potential Saturday
weekend traffic volume that could put some wear stress on
things. Keeping in mind that the new snow was 18 cm’s,
that should go a long ways when spread out and integrated
by grooming, to offset a lot of that traffic.

Conditions Notes:
In The Groomed:
Very fine to excellent with lingering hints
of softness from the recent very big snowfall
that may still need additional compaction in
some areas where it was more thickly laid down.
It’s Saturday and weekend traffic patterns may
eventually cause moguls or washboard effects
so pay attention to developing patterns and
repeat safe space trail runs as necessary.
In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:
Very individualistic with much mid-winter coverage excellence.
Traffic patterns may generate unique challenge or hazard,
so explore with cautious slow speeds and be ready to stop,
pivot, or jump almost instantly to avoid risk.
Generally:
As is typical of natural snow that gets delivered and
continuously exposed to cold temp’s, there are slightly
elevated frictional characteristics to it that enhance
easy control for experienced skiers. If it’s your first
time out, you’ll likely never notice that other than the
exceptionally fine responsiveness you’ll feel in surfaces
across all open terrain categories. For Snowboard fans,
you’ll want to pump the board for speed on runouts
so you can avoid having to take a foot out to traverse
shallow slopes or plateau’s.

want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
