A Surprise Part Of Why Today Should Be Really Fine!
On-off-on-off snowfall, sometimes quite thickly
coming down over a period of hours...
But for sure, for a lot of the day it was overcast with
partial sun too....

But The Surprisingly Snowy Parts Made It, And
We Think Today As Well... Extra Special!

Weather Notes:
We don’t think the forecast will be wrong today,
it’s sunny at sunrise and unless things change a lot,
it just looks like its going to be that way all day.
Conditions Notes:
In The Groomed:
Very, very sweet everywhere. The long string of
over 50 some-odd consecutive days of Sub-Zero C’s
many of them “Polar Vortex” influenced, together
with several heavy snow storms, have generated
a groomed base of remarkably consistent quality
that is practically speaking, quite close to glitch free.
Due to the cryogenic exposures, there was a slight
frictional characteristic to it all up until a couple of
days ago, but since then, there has been an uptick
in the natural sensations of speed and glide, so
compared to before, it just feels fast underfoot
and shooting across shallow pitches or plateau’s
is easier and carries you further.
In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:
The new snow yesterday was not enough to change
the basic’s in these categories, but there’s just so
much snow in the woods to begin with that the
Expert bush and mogul experience is still really
really fine. Scroll back to yesterday’s Hors Piste
“Proof Of Snow” for a review of that concept.
Of course there are the usual challenges and hazards,
if you’re skiing in the trees, they do not move if they
get in your way, so also as usual, the need to navigate
with slow speeds under absolute control with instant
agility is always essential.

If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
