As A Consequence Of Temperatures That Eventually Hit +10 C,
With Rainy, And Now, 13 Hours Later Are -10C, There May Be
Weather Related Effects....
However, Tremblant’s Mountain Op’s Are The Masters Of Recovery...
So, here’s what happens after an “All-Nighter”...

This sample scene is from a few seasons ago, but it is exactly
the kind of approach that Mountain Op’s uses to deliver overnight
recoveries that include First Tracks excellence the very next morning.
That’s what you get at Tremblant today.
Weather Notes:
Atmospherically speaking, a really easy late winter day of sun
and beautiful panoramic beauty!
Another bonus for today... our favourite, low wind speeds.
As for the future, well, no doubt “Spring” is on the way,
and in a big way. So, here’s where we mention that for
the foreseeable future, this is where we’re so very happy
that we were able to endure the depths of winter for 2
months, because if it gets hot, we’re going to need every
bit of the stored refrigerant in the mass of the Mountain
as trail durability support to help offset the forecasted
warmth coming up.
A big bonus in that outlook is that there is currently less
precipitation indicated over the extended warm than we
might expect and that could be a huge advantage in
preserving terrain coverage.

Conditions Notes:
Generally:
There are roughly 1,287,346 Wild Cards in the potential mix
of variable and unique attributes of everything ranging from
superb excellence to raw challenge, where the overwhelming
probability is the 80/20 rule that states that 80% will be good
to very fine, especially where freshly groomed, because
Tremblant’s Mountain Op’s group are the masters of recovery.
Obviously, with 32/100 trails on “Progressive” opening status, i.e.,
pending Ski Patrol certifications of safety, there could maybe
end up being alterations to the available open terrain, most of which
could or might be in the Sous Bois group.
Consults with the Info. Ski Crews, on a run-by-run basis if
necessary, are essential for up-to-the-minute Open status
updates and optimized utility.
In The Groomed:
Generally as per our 80/20 reference above, very good
but following the warm/wet there may be some icy
overtones, particularly after traffic patterns become
established during the course of the day.
Connectivity between skill levels should remain very
good as it will take weeks before we think you’ll see
much in the way of diminished coverages.
For forward planners...
In our opinion, Versant Nord/North Side coverages
may enjoy a significant “Spring” advantage because
it was mostly in the lee, behind the Summit, and was
just not even nearly as exposed to the S/W winds that
seemed to blow for days on end, and we think that’s
going to show as very fine and durable groomed
conditions onward.
In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:
It is clearly evident that this group of trails is the most
sensitive to weather as the bulk of the 32 delayed trail
openings this morning are within these categories.
When they do open, they will continue to be highly
individualistic in character with variable Expert’s only
challenge.
It is critically important that where the Ski Patrol hand-posts
conditions/hazard alerts, those notices be taken with respect.

If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.
