1/31/10 Conditions

The conditions are exactly what you
might expect after a week that gave
us 18 inches of Fresh Snow....

Just about perfect!

Oh yeah, it's definitely Winter out there at -19C, but it's going to
warm up rapidly to -11C before long and you will not notice that
so much when you are busy exploring....

...94 Open Trails!

All you need to do is dress appropriately and you are good to go.

How many ways can you describe the best conditions
of the Season so far? Quite a few, we're sure, but one thing is sure,
if you are not here, you are missing them!

Apres Ski Notes:

It was warmer today, but the sun that we initially thought
we might see appeared only occasionally if you looked
straight up, and then again, at the very end of the day,
after last run.

That did not stop any of the fun of Skiing or Snowboarding
though, the surface conditions were nothing short of Fabulous!

There was quite a bit of fog on the summit and there were
zones of very close fog around some of the snowmaking areas
but if you used proper care and control with speed then you were O.K.

We encountered very little in the way of slick or icy patches
but there was the odd bit that you would momentarily run over
which was a good reason to watch out around trail intersections
and run outs because that's where you would most likely find them.

Things were a bit thick at the Summit today.

Despite the fog, the visibility was still over 20 meters.

Meanwhile at the South Side base, the sun was out!

Excellent conditions on very high quality surfaces,
Tremblant was a joy to ski today!
