Yesterday It Was + 7C and “Wet”...

Today It Is -12 C...

The Laws Of Physics Apply.

No doubt, it was a rainy morning but it could have
been way worse and by noon, clearing was well under
way as well as the increase in the wind speed too.
The wind had a perceptible, edgy, cool bite to it that
turned out to be the prelude to the oncoming temp drop.

It stirred up the cloud and there were quickly evolving
shapes racing across the sky. It did not look like this
30 seconds before, and it did not look like this 30
seconds later.

In the mean-time, with todays return to cold,

If You Don’t Got Them Sharp Edges... You’re Nuts.

Besides that... We’re actually very lucky to have
had such short hours of warm/wet exposure that
in this new, so-far season has been the single
only such event, when by historical normal
late fall temp oscillations, there might be an
average of +/- 3 such events and/or any of
the warm bits can last for days instead of hours.

For sure, the consequences are temporarily
inconvenient, but grooming mitigation has
already rendered out huge acreages and
literally, on top of all that, there’s snowfall
expected in the forecast.

Weather Notes:

Let’s not argue...

The Weather Network say’s -11C
Weather Underground Collection Point Registers -13C
The Official Snow Report say’s -12C

Our trusty analogue outside deck thermometer says -12C
so we’re going with that, which coincidentally is roughly
the same elevation as the Flying Mile Sector peak.

And Thank Goodness... last night's vicious wind has passed off...

On the bright side... at least we end up with more snow,
that should/could go a long way to quickly offsetting
any lingering warm effects from yesterdays +7C.
