(#) Why The Effects That Concern Us On The Mountain
Could Be Unpredictably But Potentially, Positively, Variable:

The short answer is the inherent -4C elevation differential
to typically cooler Summit levels.

At the base ground level temps indicated through this event
(at which it seems odd to us anyway that at ranges starting at
-5C and going up to -1C, there would be much freezing rain),
we think there is a distinct possibility that at typically cooler trail
network elevations where it might range between -9C to -5C,
it could be primarily if not all, snow.

Caveat(s): We could be wrong, especially if temps go higher
than forecast and/or if there was an atmospheric temperature
inversion, it which point all bets are off but inversion would not
be statistically probable.

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

If yesterday was refined, today should be an incremental
step up in the refinement process and... If it’s a typical
Sunday, the regional commuter crowd will start racing
home just after lunch and we would expect that the
mornings high quality should be quite durable all the
way through.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:

All you need to do is look at the extensive open list in
the Sous Bois group, then combine that with the 222cm’s
of so-far natural snowfall and you can reasonably conclude
we’re significantly ahead of most late December’s.

However... It is still early season so as good as it is, it’s
not the 400cm’s of mid-Feb., so you still need to be
cautious in all initial explorations. Contrary to the
increase in groomed refinement, the Sous Bois is
more sensitive to traffic wear as the days pass since
the last snowfall, meaning there’ll be the odd little
spot today that wasn’t there yesterday. Here’s where
we’re hoping that any precipitation we see tomorrow
might maybe be snow. We could be wrong...

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

 If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
