Take yesterday's report of excellent conditions,
add 24 hours, and repeat!

(if you haven't seen them, look back at previous reports
for tons of big "wallpaper" pics, click on "Mountain Reports"
above, then click on selected dates)

93 Open Trails under brilliantly sunny skies with mid-day high
temps at -5C.

Please Note:
Early morning conditions may bring some icy patches after
cold over-night temps, please use caution with speed and
verify surfaces until sun warms up.

Easy, comfortable winter conditions!

It's all this good!

Even the Pro's were out taking pics and playing
on the excellent carving surfaces. This shot below
taken on Alpine. Check out the quality of the carving
surface in the foreground.

(A note on "Spontaneous" Photography: Getting pic's
of the moment sometimes means acting quickly.
In those cases, optimum camera settings are not
always possible. Sorry for the slight, soft edges in this
pic., but thought the action dynamic was good anyway.)

Small Caveat: for "Best Results", fresh tuned edges are
ideal. There are some slick areas on steep pitches or in
very high traffic areas, so be careful. Good, sharp edges will
add control and confidence to your day at all skill levels.

Another great day to be on the slopes at Tremblant!

Re: 2/11/10 Conditions

Post by T360 »

Conditions today were somewhat affected by yesterdays daytime warmth which
caused some areas to soften up, then, last night it went well into freezing at -11C,
resulting in some icy patches that made braking and steering control difficult in places.

On average, surface conditions continue to be excellent, particularly on runs like
P'tit Bonhuer, Toboggan, Sissy Schuss and Alpine, to name a few examples.

The main thing today was to explore the Mountain at a relaxed pace, match your skills
to your comfort zone, then cruise on from there.

When we have daily and over-night temp and weather variable factors like these,
it is not safe make assumptions about what may lie ahead around the next bend, so we
recommend that you hold things well under control until you have verified safe
passage.
