All Spring Thing's Considered.... Fantastic!
53(*) Open Trails, including 6 runs on Soleil.
Soleil is scheduled to remain open until
3:45 pm which is a nice bonus for those
who enjoy the late afternoon sun.
Forecast high temp today of +10C. This morning
it is brilliantly sunny, without a cloud in the sky,
however, it is forecasted to become cloudy with
rain later on in the day. Looking at the sky now,
that seems hard to believe, but the weather radar
does show an approaching precipitation front that
may arrive around 2:00 P.M. or so.
It is perfectly natural that the Open Trail count will
reduce as Spring weather progresses, but we continue to
be very pleasantly surprised at just how good the quality
of the open runs are. Surprising also are the very few
numbers of bare patches, which are few and far between.
The durability of great surfaces is a testament to the skill
and planning of the Tremblant Mountain Crews who have,
and continue to do, an excellent job of making the absolute
best out of the snow they have to work with.
Early Morning Mountain Snow Surfaces:
A bit icy from sub-Zero overnight, but
should rapidly soften beginning around 10:00
A.M.
One of our "On the Mountain" reporters says:
"Fast"!, and that all the principle runs have been
beautifully groomed, so it's going to be another
classic Tremblant Spring Day!
Yesterday, Last Run on P'tit Bonheur. Typical of
conditions close to the summit on all sides of
Tremblant yesterday, fantasic, smooth carving
surfaces with lots of grip and not too thick.

Soleil has very fine conditions as well, with excellent
coverage. Mountain Crews are doing a great job of
maintaining these runs on a daily basis and the bumps
that develop during the day are groomed out each evening.

Spring Rule #1
The true believers are always thankful for whatever
they can Ski or Board.
Spring Rule #2
There will always be great Skiing and Boarding
somewhere within the open terrain at Tremblant,
the Mountain Crews take care of that.
Spring Rule#3
Every Spring Ski day is to be cherished and is worth
the effort. It's a long time 'till next November.
Caveat:
A) There will always be hazards within the open terrain,
such as may exist due to; being uncovered during daily
use, and or located in areas intentionally not groomed,
such as designated mogul runs/zones, and/or weather
conditions that are not controllable, for example.
B) That matching ideal terrain to any users skill level
is a very individual choice made by the user and it is
therefore up to the user to cautiously explore the open
terrain to locate conditions best suited to their skills.
Bottom line, "use your head" with highly
variable Spring Conditions... don't "get in over your
head" and risk injury. Stay safe, and have fun in
terrain you can maintain complete control in. Use
caution with speed at all times and explore at slow
speed to verify safe passage before ripping around.
