Yesterday is the main reason
you should go Skiing or Boarding
at Tremblant today!
As this pic shows, there were a few billion tiny reasons
floating around why Tremblant was good yesterday.

however, at around 10 A.M., this was revised down to 23.
The reduction comes on the South Side. If we get time,
we'll see which ones they are, but looking at the Trail and
Grooming report below, we suspect it may be related to
either the listed "Progressive", gradual openings, or to
trails designated "Race".
Todays weather sees a return to stable, well below freezing temps
that should continue for the next 2 weeks, according to the Weather
Network. Highs at around -9C at base and -15C at the Summit. With a
moderate west wind coming up Beauvallon, you will want to make
sure there are no air gaps in your clothing system for comfort.
While it's true we got a lot of fresh snow, it is also true
that we have had some wet snow and rain in the past week.
Surfaces at Tremblant are generally very good, but there
are some slick and icy portions that you simply have to
slow down for.
We observed many people that were speeding beyond
their abilities to stop or slow down safely.

...Short Safety Message:
It is the responsibility of all Mountain users to adhere to
the "Mountain Code", which states that:
1)Remain in control of your speed and direction.
Make sure you can stop and avoid any person or obstacle.
2)Yield the right of way to persons downhill and choose a
course that ensures their safety.
People bombing the Mountain DO NOT have the right of way
over people they are passing.
Yesterday we saw an incident involving a speeding beyond control
individual that crashed into a beginner who had swerved to miss
an ice patch. This reckless moron began yelling at the poor
person for being "In The Way" together with a lot of swearing.
The shocked person who got hit from behind, never saw it
coming either. All this on P'tit Bonheur, a designated Green trail.
This "You're in my way" or "Get out of my way" sense of
entitlement is not only wrong and completely inappropriate
on any Mountain or Ski/Board terrain, but unfortunately we see it
over and over.
For all the rest of us that understand the "Mountain Code"
and it's significance for safety, if you observe reckless
behavior that could cause accidents, we recommend that
you point that out to Ski Patrol when possible.
We will be filing a report, but what we want to mention is
do your best to have eyes in the back of your head and watch
out for those around as well as in front of you, whenever possible.

Now that we have that out of the way...
While the "blips" and wet in the weather are inescapable
acts of Mother Nature and they can make things challenging
at times, the additional compaction of our surfaces should
definitely add to the durability and long term stability of our
base. What is below your feet now, is going to be one of the
reasons we have a long season with consistent high quality
surfaces.
Considering Winter has not yet Officially started, we're in
great shape at Tremblant. All the snow we are going to get
as winter sets in will cover this solid base we have now and
we think that things will do nothing but get better as time
goes by.
We've said it before here, and it's worth repeating, if you are
planning a ski/board holiday to Tremblant this season, we think
it's going to be a very good year here, so Tremblant should remain
as your destination objective.
