Things are busy with all the Holiday traffic
and the Mountain Crews are working hard to
get the bugs out of Duncan. So Far, So Good!

Be Patient Folks!

We've had a reduction in the Open Trail count to 62
this morning. This is mostly on the North and mostly
due to traffic wear on runs that primarily have a
natural snow base and have seen heavy use during
the Holiday period so far. As Mountain Crews get a
chance to work on them, you may expect to see
them come back on-line

The weather today starts out much warmer than the last
few days at -5C and is already 3 degrees C higher than
the forecast high of the day, so it's hard to tell
where it might end up. The summit is sunny, but you will
descend quickly below the cloud level this morning. Those
clouds may move off this afternoon. Winds should be light
and from the South-West, so what there is of them
will move across the Mountain from the Soleil sector
toward P'tit Bonheur. Below the Summit on the North
it will probably feel calm. There is a warm "Blip" in the forecast,
we can only hope that they are wrong and/or that the 4 to 5 degree
colder summit causes snow at borderline temps.

(Dear Mother Nature, Please send more snow.
Sincerely, All your fans at Tremblant.)

It will really help if you examine todays
Trail and Grooming status for 2 reasons.

No.1 is so you can find the terrain that's best suited to your
skill level.

No.2 is to know the options you have to go to other lifts if
you see a line up that's more than a few minutes.

Please Note: Progressive Opening status has been up-graded
to full OPEN status on select designated trails on the Edge.

Re:
No.2 is to know the options you have to go to other lifts if

The most obvious place that you probably don't need to
spend time waiting at is Lowell Thomas. With Duncan
back on-line, even that may cease to be an issue, but
it is still a good "Case Study" to look at because people
stood in line there for enough time to complain without
realizing that they had other options.

2 examples of the "other options" were/are:

Goto the Edge Quad to trail #1, Bon Vivant, then ski
to Nansen.

Goto the Expo Quad, which has not had more than about a
4 minute line at peak, and most of the time, less than a minute
for the last 5 days, and ski/board the lower half of the North for
a while.

Of course now, you can go to Duncan via Beauchemin if you see
a line at Lowell Thomas, but the point is, you did not need to
stand there before if you knew where else to go.

Back a couple of days ago, we called the daily report...
"You've Got Options" ... it was true then, as it is today.

Bingo ----> YOU WIN!

Up, Down, SideWays... Tremblant should have you covered!

82(*) Open and Progressive Opening Trails for tomorrow!

Perfect! If all goes well with the progressive and regular
trail openings tomorrow, you will have a fantastic day
on the Tremblant slopes!

Tremblant does not put these notices out lightly, so the
Mountain Crews have done their surveys and satisfied
themselves that the trails to be released are subject only
to a final inspection, which could be either late this aft.,
or really early in the morning, before they open them up.

Here is a copy of the Downloadable, Printable http://www.tremblant.ca
Snow Report, followed by a Official Snow Report Preview Trail
Open list for tomorrow, showing the individual trails by name
number and opening status.

All "Progressive" openings are subject to confirmation
by Ski Patrol who at their sole discretion, may or may not
open these trails for safety reasons.
