If we did not put in another word for
today, this pic could say it all.

But Wait, There's More ....

Everything we've said about getting your equipment tuned
still applies.

For best results, great edges equal great edging.

Grooming/Hill Prep UpDate:

Tremblant Mountain Crews are getting into the detail work
that really sets Tremblant apart from all the rest.

When you see Banzai, one of our favorite North Side runs,
groomed, you know a couple of things at least...

1) Evidence of ample snow to do it with.

2) Time to do it with.

Additionally, there is more snow in the immediate forecast
so getting ahead on some of this detail work puts our terrain
here in prime shape to receive more snow that will have
a nice, smooth base to fall on.

Weather:
Partially Sunny, temps rising to -14C.
We can handle that, especially when the surfaces
are so excellent.

.

Despite the fact that it was very challenging to do
frequent photography today due to flat light, cold temps
and wind, none of that can take away from the very
high quality surfaces we have at Tremblant today.

Talking with one of our Facebook Friends we describe
today:

"Todays conditions were better than yesterdays due to
warmer temps and finer granular surfaces. There were
less slick spots and those finer granular surfaces were
deeper in thickness. The current best conditions are on
the North, so where Toboggan on Soleil still had a few
slick zones, particularly on the centers of steep pitches,
the North runs we skied today, had virtually none.
They were both better than yesterday.

We think this pattern of steady improvement is going to
continue as we reach the mature heart of winter, just
about exactly when you are scheduled to get here.

Fingers crossed on the Mother Nature co-op thing. Time will tell."

Soleil was very good today, however there were
a few icy bits on some of the steep pitches.
The best Soleil Snow was on the sides.
While better than yesterday, sharp, tuned
edges are essential for complete traction.
