85(*) Open Trails As Both Quality And Quantity
Improve Daily At Tremblant.

The views are always spectacular on clear days. If you
look at ground level both left and right, you'll notice
a fuzzy/hazy appearance which is the wind pushing
snow dust around at ground level close to the summit.

Lots of guests for Presidents Week Holiday mean steady, but not
overwhelming traffic. The Summit is busy, but we have yet to wait for
more than a minute or 2 for any lift by using the singles line when
necessary.

We continue to include the following because we see frequent
safety incidents caused by excessive speed.

Speed, Control and Conditions Caveat
For All Skill Levels In Effect.

Watch and maintain absolute control of your speed.

Even though there has been tremendous progress with
surface quality for all rated skill levels, there may be
icy glitches that may not be initially visible.

Typically, these areas will be in some high traffic zones
around trail intersections or run-outs to lift zones, or on
the down-side of crest contours or steeper pitches.

You need to explore the Mountain with care and control until
you have verified safe passage for your skill level.

Traffic Notes:

President's Week Holiday attendance means increased awareness of
those around you to ensure adequate space for maneuvering. Watch
out for those who are new to the area and may not be familiar with
things and could make sudden directional changes into your path.

------------ end of caveat -------------------------

Repeated massaging of the snow surfaces by the Mountain Crews
is gradually restoring more depth to the loose granular top layer
that we ski and board on, so we are noticing more "Shred Depth"
as illustrated by this pic below.

This is not everywhere yet, but it definitely is becoming more
noticeable, particularly on trail sides, as you tour around.

Todays Weather starts out a lot colder than anticipated at -24C
but will quickly rise with the increasing intensity of the sun to
a projected -3C. The wind is forecasted to be light, but we think
that we'll see more wind at the higher elevations on the Mountain,
but at least it is warmer, so its effects are less noticeable.

Bonus Time Flying Mile Last Run At 4:30 looks like it will
continue for the week. Gondola closing at 4:00... Excellent!

The Sun is shining on Tremblant and things
are definitely warming up.

So when it's this sunny, people start jumping around...

It seemed like most of the kids were from the New England region,
up visiting their Friends in Canada while they are on their "Presidents Week"
vacation and the ones we spoke to said they were having a great time!

We'll process more pic.s from today's action and include them
in later posts.

Conditions continue to make improvements from day to day, but
we're still seeing far too much speed from people that in some cases,
do not know how to stop or turn at those velocities. Make sure
you're watching out for them...
